Delicious, truly delicious. We had a brioche bacon egg and cheese sandwich and a bagel with cream cheese. Both were filling and tasty. The staff was very friendly. They are obviously used to dealing lost tourist.
Phenomenal food!! So so fresh :) The tuna sandwich, the egg sandwich, the Reuben sandwich. You cannot go wrong with anything here. Will be coming back again :)
I guess they are going for pastrami and corned beef jerkey. The quality is a shonda . At the very least the meats belong in a hotbox not a food warmer wrapped in plywood. A dear friend was visiting from the west and we were in the neighborhood. How I wish Sandy never cheated so the Carnegie would still be open. We also checked out the Redeye grill but that felt like a hoarders movie set . What else could they find to haul in there. Katz's is quite a trek but we headed that way. At least you get to tip the carvers on your own... read more
Be mindful with what is being charged by the guy in the cashier. We went there with what should have been a $21 charge for a to go food but end up with $27 plus. The guy in the cashier is sneaky. He will punch in the actual terminal what you ordered but he will punch again an amount plus a 20% tip in the credit card terminal and with an excuse that they cannot print receipt early in the morning ! I would expect that by end of the day! I was being nice, gave the tip and just opted for receipt to be emailed so I can review the... read more
One of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had. It's hard to make a Reuben juicy and moist without being greasy, but UBD somehow managed to do it. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and piled high. The assembly was great which made a big sandwich very easy and enjoyable to eat. Diner atmosphere with Sinatra playing on the background was cute. Recommended for lunch.
Brooklyn Deli on 7th Ave is close to where the Carnegie Deli used to be but miles away from it in quality. The corned beef and pastrami is hand sliced, resulting in thick, chewy pieces not flavorful slices. The corned beef had a good taste but the pastrami was close to inedible with lots of fat, tough to chew, no taste and cut improperly. The sandwich did have a decent amount of meat and was reasonably priced but I would not go back.
Solid solid 4 stars. Honestly could even be 5 if they had better outdoor seating. But from the food perspective, excellent. We came for breakfast and ordered a couple of bacon egg and cheese. The brioche was perfect, everything was great!
We were looking for a place that would help us to remember our trip. USA Brooklyn Delicates was definitely a good choice to sample a taste of Brooklyn. I had the Hot Pastrami, and my wife had the Hot Pastrami Rueben.... We'll be back!!
Service and food absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend this place. Will be back someday.
