Okay so I had the pastrami when they first opened and it was very good. Good quality and decent size for a good price. I recently had the breakfast sandwich with a pastrami and while the price was definitely decent, there was very little pastrami on it and it had red peppers with it too. Mostly bread though the egg was cooked perfect. Pastrami scene like it was from yesterday. Amazing pizza!! Service was quick and the staff was very pleasant. And the restraunt was very clean. 10 out of 10 recommend.
Avoid! At least based on our experience you should. The staff seemed like they could not have cared less, about anything and it showed. We stood at the cash register with the cashier looking directly at us and smiling. Instead of greeting us and/or asking to take our order, she smiled more and went back to stacking to go boxes. Authentic New York deli. High price. Fast, friendly service. Ordered the pastrami on rye. I was actually disappointed, looking for more, definitely fresh, but lack the advertised flavor, and smoked preparation. I'll try somewhere else before I go back.
Literally the only disappointment on my entire trip. Walked in and stood behind a man at the counter. I assumed he had ordered and was waiting for his food because there were two men working who were running back and forth. After about 5 minutes the man huffed loudly and walked out. This place is amazing! The service was over the top! The restaurant is clean. The staff is all so incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delectable. Everything came out hot and fresh. We loved the open kitchen. We can't wait to come back!
Very rude owner/manager... whoever the short white guy is... Came out yelling and screaming because I came in to ask to use the bathroom and I didn't realize they weren't open. One worker was kind and opened it for me to use but at that point I was uncomfortable and walked out. It's never that serious to be so rude and nasty. I'm working in the area and that's the closest deli but I rather walk a few blocks then give them my money.
At 4pm when we walked in and sat down for a late lunch we were the only customers, so I was concerned. But my wife "had a feeling" that it'd be good and darned if it wasn't! I had their famous chicken soup and was very pleased with the flavorful broth and generous amounts of shredded chicken. Classic New York City pastrami. Saturday October 1, found ourselves in this diner on the route from our timeshare to Central Park. Arrived well after lunch time, and a good thing, as very limited seating, except around two kitchen tables. I ordered the $11.95 hot pastrami reuben, and wife ordered the $16.95 hot corned beef sandwich. One of those places where you order off an overhead menu, and pay for your order before getting seated.
