Because of quick action by our local Veterinarian on a Friday afternoon she made immediate contact with Dr. Heather Millard at the Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita, who greeted us at the entrance upon our arrival, and quickly rushed our super "Sonic" dog to the ER. After examining Sonic, she gave us a thorough explanation of his distress and immediately headed into surgery. He was in the best of hands! We had to bring our cat in to be put down, they greeted us with much compassion and brought us directly to a room. The tech (Apologies I can not remember her name) was wonderful, she explained everything that was going to happen in a soft comforting voice. After she gave our sweet Sassy a injection to put her in a semi sedative state they prepped her and wrapped her in a blanket. Our dog Cassie was lethargic for a couple of days and then didn't want to eat. Our normal veterinarian was closed so she recommended that we go to VESH in South Deerfield, MA. We made an appointment online and called from the parking lot as instructed. Almost immediately we were instructed to come inside. We waited inside for a few minutes and then someone came and took Cassie to be evaluated. She was diagnosed with a splenic tumor. Unfortunately, we thought it was best to have her euthanized. In a year timeline both our older dogs had to be put down. Our normal vet couldn't get us in even though our big guy couldn't use his back legs well suddenly. Any other vet we called in the Keene area had a waiting lost or wanted to do an exam before they would put him down. He was almoat 14 and it was time. These people at VESH were Amazing. Caring considerate brought us into a room to spend time with our fur babies. Gave them Hershey kisses for love and just so wonderful. Both my kids were with me both times and they treat... read more

You guys really were great! My dog got hit by a car. You were super fast and professional. He was lucky to only have minor injuries and you guys made sure we were in and out quickly.

Our cat was 17 years old and became failure to thrive. It seemed like overnight she failed completely. We truly want to thank you and your entire staff for your care and compassion as she went over the rainbow bridge.

Last night September 7th 2022 I brought my dog popo because something was wrong with him. He had had a stroke and he had other health problems and had to be euthanized. The 7:00 second shift at the hospital was the most courteous caring and professional. I wish I had more time with him but he would have been suffering. While I was uncontrollably crying, they maintained their professionalism and were very kind to me. I want to thank all of them for their kindness and caring.
