I have never experienced a more thoughtful and thorough evaluation and preparation for surgery in any other veterinary setting. Our dog Maizey needed non-emergent surgery for a hernia. We were referred by our regular vet to VESH and we are very happy with the service we received from all the staff and especially from surgeon Heather Millard, DVM. She was especially caring, knowledgeable and efficient. Highest marks from us for the VESH team.

The best. Never needed emergency animal care before but my Frenchton is a hot mess and eats things fast. She was throwing up and I panicked. She is fine. My son and daughter in law recommended this clinic. Their animals are their kids and only the best for them. I trust their recommendations when it comes to pet care providers and this was the best experience I’ve ever had at a vet. I wish it was in Derby.

A couple weeks ago I had to I bring my 16 yr old male cat Fido in because he had been lethargic and stumbling. The technical term escapes me but they determined that it would be more humane to end his suffering thru euthanation. It was very difficult for me to let him go. He had been with me since birth and helped me thru some dark ties. The staff were VERY understanding and compassionate.

My 14 year old chug got himself into some antifreeze on his 14th birthday. Thankfully my regular vet was open at the time as was able to call the emergency vet to let them know I was on my way. He was immediately taken from me when I got there. I started on the paperwork. So I had no waiting due to the circumstances. He test did show that he had antifreeze in his system.
