Our special compliments to the staff: from the bartender to our server to the people greeting us at the desk, everyone exhibits a real sense of hospitality and professionalism. The food is beautifully prepared, and while I don't always find some of the dishes appealing, I respect the skill and knowledge that goes into each one of them. This restaurant never fails us.
There are different reason to go out to eat. I am hungry, to be with friends, to avoid having to cook but Vida is an experience.
As usual Vida was a delight. The service was impeccable. The ambiance is fitting for a restaurant of this caliber. However, the density of the room and the two top table row prevent it from getting my "outstanding" rating. By and large the food is unique and superb, but for the second consecutive time my wife's seafood was overcooked and thus a tad dry and tough. The food was beautiful and delicious. The duck was perfectly cooked. Service was friendly and perfect. The restaurant is lovely.
I brought some out of town (but grew up in Indiana) guests here. Despite the fact I raved about the food and wine selection , and told them that a mutual executive European friend said that his meal at Vida was one of the best he’s had anywhere in the world, they were skeptical that an Indy restaurant could be that good. Vida was so delicious that I was asked to throw away my leftover when entering a concert at Old National. I was heartbroken. Upon leaving the theater I retrieved my leftovers out of the trash can because they were unharmed and totally worth digging in the trash for. I cannot wait to go back! Those scallops. Those donuts. That reisling. OMG!
Excellent service & food. However, I felt it was a bit over priced for the amount of food
