Never bringing my dog here again. I called on Tuesday to get my dog a grooming appointment and was after waiting over two hours for a call back was told I need to make an account online to make an appointment. I made an account and requested an appointment for the next day: a day later I finally receive a call about my appointment request. I book an appointment and was Very specific about what I was looking for: I asked for the price of a bath for a small dog and the customer service rep said $45. I asked if it included anal... read more

I've been leaving my dog at Wag hotels for a while now. I've never had an issue, besides the fact they never know if she ate during the day or if she went for potty, zero control of the dog's day. But today they made me lose it: we left our dog for a daycare at 8am and went for pick up around 3pm. When we got there, no one knew about her. We waited for over 10 minutes that felt like an eternity hearing them running all over the place trying to find my dog and no one had one single tracking of her day, not even her check in. ... read more

Our dog was really sick from staying at this place for only 2 nights. My dog is fully vaccinated and was healthy before using this facility. I tried to get my dog used to boarding at this place during July 21 as we had a couple of vacations booked. I noticed every time I took my dog to west la wag hotel for daycare (leading up to our vacation), she would come back with diarrhoea. We thought it might have been stress. When we set off to our first 2 night vacation we left our dog at this facility in a room with a camera. Lucki... read more

I had the worst experience here! My dog boarded for less than 24 hours at the West Los Angeles location and I tried calling like 15 times within that time period and NEVER did someone answer the phone!!!! Like how?!?! I wanted to check in on my dog to see how he was doing and I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone! Also, I took a bag of food and toys for my pup but when I picked him up, the staff had lost everything!!! Like how does that even happen within 24 hours?! I took like four different toys and he came back with none... read more

Seems Wag may have complained that I used two accounts to comment so I'll comment on the one that is active. Long story short: my Saint was boarded at West Hollywood and I was told last minute that there were confirmed cases of kennel cough in their facility. When I boarded her the second time that week Wag said she was kept away from sick dogs and needs to go to West LA. She caught the virus and we asked them to keep her until they ran tests but Kristen (director in Sacramento HQ) said she would TAKE SUNNY TO THE SHELTER IF... read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! Both of my dogs came home sick after being in the care of Wag Hotel. One of my pups has intestinal issues (diarrhea and no appetite + lethargy), and the other acquired an upper respiratory infection from this facility. I promptly let the facility know and asked to correspond with a manager, and a 'client services representative' named Shay responded and took zero responsibility and proceeded to explain how they 'screen' their clients. Her elucidation of how they 'screen' their clients is a complet... read more

Business response:

Hi Jenn, thank you for your review. We have tried to get in touch with you to check in on how Autumn and Winter were doing, and discuss your most recent experience, but we have not heard back. The screening questions are an extra layer of caution we are taking to both inform clients of what we know and keep our guests safe. Yes, you are right it would be great to gather proof that guests have not been to a dog park, or another pet care facility but to our knowledge, such proof does not exist. We know how challenging and ... read more

We wanted to love it, but our samoyed puppy came back covered in urine and unhappy :( . We used Wag Hotels in Hollywood a couple times before we switched over to West LA as it was more convenient for us. After our second stay at the West LA location, our puppy came back covered in urine. This has never happened before, and there have been times where our pup has been at the hotel for over 12 hours. Obviously he's only 5 months (but potty trained) so accidents can still happen, but the least the staff could have done was upd... read more

We boarded our dog at Wag West LA for five days, and I'll start by saying you can tell the employees there really love dogs - they're very sweet and patient with them. The reason this place gets 2 stars is because every other aspect of it is SUUUUPER DISORGANIZED. When we first booked the reservation, we uploaded our dog's paperwork (vaccines, etc) to the site, then waited three days for the paperwork to be approved - which never happened. I called Wag's (855) whatever number to find out what was going on, but no one answe... read more

Business response:

Hello Buck, Wow, that does sound like a mess! I'm sorry that was your experience. You are right to be upset and I would be too if that had happened to me. I promise you that this is not a normal experience with Wag Hotels. It seems several things were missed in our reservation and check in process that led to these errors. I'd appreciate getting a chance to speak with you about the whole thing so we can prevent future mistakes. We never want things to go wrong with any guest's reservation. I do appreciate you mentioning t... read more

I took my puppy there for two days of jail or as they put it "special care". My puppy isn't neutered yet, so they force you to pay extra to have your dog get locked up in a room and make you believe your dog would have 3X 20min 1:1 sessions with someone. Only for you to get your dog in the evening to realize he hasn't gone potty ever during that time and probably haven't been checked up on even once during a full day! And when you ask them if he had pottied or not, the person would probably say I don't know!!!! If I wanted ... read more

Business response:

Hi Afra, I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review of your experience on Yelp. Transparency with our clients is an important part of our customer service philosophy. We want you to trust that your dog is getting the best care possible. If your dog's stay with Wag Hotels was less than satisfactory I'd be happy to speak with you and see how we can make it right.
