I had visited Washington Radiologists in Bethesda a few times, and the staff was not so bad. The last time I was there early this year, they were awful. The woman at the front desk rolled her eyes at me when I asked her a question. I knew my insurance covered the procedure, but she insisted that it didn't. She looked at me as if I had three heads when I told her it was covered. I ended up paying almost $500, and they had the audacity to request payment from the insurance as well. I called the Bethesda location to schedule an appointment and once I arrived they said my appointment was suppose to be in Sterling Virginia. They had no remorse for the fact that someone messed up on their end, and were rude. Sterling Virginia was not even an option for the referral I was given, because I live in MD and my doctor is in MD. I am going to recommend to my doctors that this location be removed from their list for radiology locations. What if I was seriously ill and needed an urgent ultrasound? Horrible experience on Saturday morning with Jennifer at the Bethesda location. I walked in and said Good Morning and no response from her other than what's your name. I asked her did she have a bad morning because I said Good Morning and she continued as if she was a robot asking for my insurance card and ID. She then informed me that my order had expired last month and wasn't valid and it was my responsibility per the sign to make sure I had an order. In pain, have orders for a chest x-ray. Call for an appointment and I'm tall that x-rays are walk in only. So I drive across town with my three year old in tow and arrive at 11:30. Carry my three-year-old all the way across the parking lot, walk in the door, only to be told that they close for lunch from 11:30 to 12:30. Their website says they are open from 8 to 5, no mention of an hour long closure. The person I talk to on the phone didn't mention it either. Office was 15 minutes behind - appointments are meaningless. Receptionists were rude and unprofessional. A deaf woman came in with her interpreter, who asked that the receptionist look at the deaf woman as she spoke, not the interpreter. Somehow that set them off. If they found that... strange, they should have gossiped in the break room, rather than in the reception in front of the waiting passengers.

Update: been two weeks today. Still no response from the medical records email or the feedback email. The calls to medical records still aren't getting through. The front desk still doesn't want to help. Fortunately my OBGYN was able to do another ultrasound and not only give us pictures but also let us hear the heartbeat. They also allowed my husband at the appointment. At Washington radiology the tech said my husband could come inside but then he was stopped at the door. New/expectant moms should probably avoid this place... read more

There are much better radiology clinics out there. I've been to two locations and some staff at both have a bad attitude. Once, the office never sent my scan results to my doctor. Another time, an officious technician put a protective lead belt around my waist but when I checked afterward the belt was protecting my hip, not my ovaries. (Thanks.) They also pack the Bethesda office so full of patients that not everyone has a place to sit and you can't maintain 6 feet distance. Wait times atrocious. Will avoid these clinics in ... read more

Called to get some information before making an appointment. The office staff was very rude. I can't imagine why anyone would come there after talking to the first point of contact for this location.
