I was so impressed with my visit, tour, and lunch at Windward Palm, I canceled upcoming tours at three other places. Compared to the five or six that I had considered through the last 2 years this becomes my serious favorite for many reasons. It's small, easy to get around instead of getting lost, & long walks to dinning room. Meal, presentation, & service, above par. apt. all have ceiling fans which i hadn't seen elsewhere, layouts very desirable. Activities can keep me busy. I placed a disabled retired police officer. He's in room 112 fabulous Everything is great he really likes it there Everyone is so helpful especially the front desk the food is plentiful and he is happy his name is [name removed]

They are very supportive and other members are great made good friends here. I have a 1 bedroom apartment and it is certainly big enough for me!

The building itself is nice, and [name removed] room is good. His biggest complaint, which apparently is shared by many of the folks there, is that the food is not very good, and there is no place close by that he can walk to for a better meal. He also thinks the management is poor, and many of the workers do not seem to want to be of help. He was pretty miserable at first, but fortunately he is making friends, which makes a big difference. The size of the unit is good for them. Of course they would like larger because they are you still living in a house their entire lives so that's understandable. Mom loves the activities she really enjoys bingo. Sometimes they have an art class. I don't recall specifically what like a painting or something what she's enjoyed. They also have horse racing. She also loves that there's a hair salon because she can get her hair done once or twice a week which makes her feel good. It would be nice if they could start a book club o... read more

The food is not very good and I feel like they're aren't a huge amount of activities. Otherwise, my father is happy with cleanliness and the facility in general.

Winward Palms, I guess is probably pretty much standard like other independent living facilities. I guess the biggest complaint is that it's not really independent living. There is a lot of people and I would say close to half of the people that are there are not independent living, they are assisted living there in wheelchairs. They are in walkers they need Assistance stressing they need assistance for everything they do during the day so can't even walk. This interferes with the people that are independent in their living.... read more

My mom is staying at this facility and is happy there. She enjoys the food, activities and the other residents. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they are attentive to her needs. We’re happy with the choice we made.
