Get directionsLiked the halls were large and they connected to the main lobby. easy to find your way around. The larger 1 bedroom had more room. Plus they would pack and move my Mom's furniture, because she is local.
My mom and dad went and toured winward palms, also attended a vets benefits seminar there. they liked it well enough.
I helped my loved one get the accommodations there. He is physically comfortable there however the only meal he will eat there is breakfast. He does not like the food served for lunch and dinner. I have mixed feelings about recommending Windward Palms.

The camaraderie is excellent, and the activities are great. They keep my mind busy. I also feel safe with the grab bars and the way the place is set up. But it’s way too expensive. My Social Security gets eaten up by the rent, and the food is horrible. I barely eat and have lost a lot of weight.

Staff is hard to reach-don't return phone calls. food is served very early and usually lukewarm. Room Size is good for one person. Amenities seem great if the resident uses them.

The quality of the food has gone down, our loved one never had blood pressure or heart problems, but now due to the amount of processed foods she is now being treated for high blood pressure. We have been hung up on a few times when we call asking about our loved one and her quality of care. They have cut back on the entertainment and activities due to COVID which they are still being charged for. They do have life alert buttons, but there is no medical staff and after 7pm they just to have to call 911.
Business response:

My 84 year old mother took it upon herself to sign a 6 month lease in this horrific place. She moved in there on June 30, 2018, and within days, she was crying and asking me to come get her. The facility and her apartment is old and dingy, there aren’t very many people living there. They are extremely short staffed. The other day, they made her wait an hour to take her order for a sandwich. She had only been there 1 week when she informed [name removed], the General Manager that she was probably moving out. Hi Cindy, we work hard to provide a fantastic experience to everyone. It's discouraging to see that you had a negative experience. Your feedback has been forwarded to the community and district management teams for review. The General Manager, Richard, followed up and will be reaching out to your mother soon. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide information to loved ones without an authorized power of attorney or written consent from the resident. We would like to help you and your family with this situation and will be... read more
When my parents moved in August of 2016 the place was nice. It has gone downhill. Manager doesn't return calls. When complaints are expressed, [name removed] the general managers response is what can I do about it. Phone calls not returned. Food was good. Now it is poor. Service of food horrible. My parents what 45 minutes or more to get lunch. Elevator has broken down a number of times. Think twice before selecting this place.
