Easy setup and install. Works just as expected. This is a replacement for a Kreepy Krauly (we have used Kreepy pool cleaners for 40 years) and was more cost-effective.

The installation went fine except for the deflector ring. I eventually got it to snap into place but because there were no words to follow in the instructions I wasn't sure how to snap it into place and the videos I watched didn't show that clearly either. I had a Zodiac G4 prior to this G3 and it stopped going in the shallow end of the pool as it aged. The G3 goes everywhere now, I guess we'll see how it ages.

Great automatic pool cleaner. This is our second one - the plastic on the old one eventually started to disintegrate after 9 years because of chlorine exposure (we leave it in all the time and run it 8 hours a day during pool season). Never have to vacuum the pool. Highly recommend - simple mechanism and the only part we've ever replaced on the old one (once) was the diaphragm, which was easy to get, inexpensive and easy to replace. This is my second Zodiac G3 Barracuda. The first one lasted well over 12 years. I replaced the fin twice and the diaphragm twice. Only reason I had to get a new one is because the assembly kept unscrewing from the base. No other pool vacuum cleaner works as well as this. Worth every penny of the $350.

My old pool cleaner was just worn out and wasn't working properly. Frankly, I think I tried to get more years out of it than it was made for. The new one is great - my only concern is how long the diaphragm will last. I've seen bad reports and am holding my breath. I hope a failure would be covered by my one-year warranty.
