After using a Hayward vac for twenty-three years and spending many dollars for repairs and maintenance, not to mention a lot of aggravation dealing with it's erratic cleaning, I decided to try this guy out. It does its job well when it’s going but the hoses always get tangled up! We’ve tried everything to keep it from getting tangled but after an hour or so we always find it sitting there hanging from the kinked hose. It might all be due to the 39ft Zodiac hose vs the 33ft hoses of the others, so i am reserving judgment. Dont know yet if the price differential is worth it. This think even rides the wall and doesn’t get stuck on the ladder or wall all the time. My pool has never started this clean and as a result we are swimming a lot more this summer.
