Cleans most of the pool well.
After using a Hayward vac for twenty-three years and spending many dollars for repairs and maintenance, not to mention a lot of aggravation dealing with it's erratic cleaning, I decided to try this guy out. Many reviews were good, so I decided to give it a try.
It works fairly well at cleaning most of the pool. The main drawback is that it will not clean the shallow end bottom. It goes all around the sides and deep end bottom, but will not clean the shallow end.

Decent but not great.
We bought this to replace the zodiac MX5 that came with our above ground pool because some parts failed and this has minimal parts to replace. It does its job well when it’s going but the hoses always get tangled up! We’ve tried everything to keep it from getting tangled but after an hour or so we always find it sitting there hanging from the kinked hose. Not sure yet, but better than others
This is the third barracuda-like pool vacuum that I am trying. It is about 4 times the price of the earlier two which were under $100. It might all be due to the 39ft Zodiac hose vs the 33ft hoses of the others, so i am reserving judgment.
Dont know yet if the price differential is worth it.
I cant help but think the cheaper Chinese versions probably use the same technology as the Zodiac Barracuda, so maybe it's all about the hose diameter and length.

Works good enough when I don’t have time to clean the pool
It really helps out. It does get stuck in corners by the steps, but I fixed it by removing one section of the hose. Also, check it every so often to be sure no debris get caught in the opening…

Clean pool
We thot we needed to drain & paint our pool bc it was so dirty & maybe stained. After 24 hrs of putting this in the pool, looked totally clean again! Great cleaner!

Great for above ground pool.
This has been the one!! Finally something that works in my above ground pool. This think even rides the wall and doesn’t get stuck on the ladder or wall all the time. My pool has never started this clean and as a result we are swimming a lot more this summer.
