Just ordered food for lunch and was sadly dissatisfied with the outcome. The ordering process and delivery were all fine and good but then all of a sudden here I am looking at the food and it was completely disgusting. Fries that were so floppy I distrust that they were ever cooked fully and a chicken-fried steak that was also soggy and nasty. I give a little space for the time it takes to get here but this was a surprisingly sub-par experience than I normally expect from 54 street.

Overall experience was trash. I first used the app to get my spot in line and it said it was a 40 min wait only to get to there and be told it'll be another 45 min wait. At that point, what's the point of putting my name on the list online??? Finally got seated but in the back of the restaurant in the coldest spot next to the bar. I asked to be moved to a booth where it's warmer and was told it would be another 45 to an hour wait because they were full and other customers were 30 min into their meal. I have been working in San Antonio for several weeks. I see staff order this place for lunch pretty frequently. So I asked about it and was told didn't matter which location, every one was good! With that being said, it was an absolutely amazing place. We were seated immediately. Our order was taken quickly. Didn't wait long on the food. And the food not only looked good but oh my goodness it was delicious!

I order their chicken Madeira religiously! So tasty, and such a great portion! I always go extra saucy as I love to sop up the mashed potatoes in it. I usually add a side of the grilled veggies; it includes brussels, asparagus, mushrooms, red bell peppers, tomatoes and a melody of squash. My absolute favorite. I ordered DoorDash from this location and it was by far the worst steak I've ever eaten. The sirloin literally looked like a McRib. It also had an overwhelming liquid smoke flavor. I couldn't even get through the whole thing. I tried to, but ended up spitting out the last bite I took. My stomach immediately hurt once I got done, and now I have a headache. Really hope I don't get food poisoning from this. Only giving it two stars because my wife enjoyed her caesar salad.

Staff was very rude to our party here. Came for a friend's birthday and have had better service at other locations. Our previous waiter Joey was exceptional. I wish he was here when we came again. Would recommend another location if you want a good time!

First time at this restaurant. (FYI)They do not take your temperature when you walk in. My group was a party of 8. I get told by hostess they are have some tables that seat up to 4. I asked if they can put a table close together. I was told that due to limit on capacity they can not pour the tables together. Hostess/server asked manager if they could put the tables together to accommodate my group. Because they had them sit on a table which was only 6 feet away from my table. I thought that was sill. I tried their online curbside pick-up today, it was easy and fast. The best part, our food were packed neatly. Plus, the serving size was humongous, still have left-over for the next day. By the way, I ordered the chopped Buffalo Chicken Salad. The salad was served fresh not saggy. FYI, the other location (1604W/ Culebra) always served me saggy buffalo salad, that's why I don't go there anymore. We have eaten at 54th street before and it has always been great. This was our first time at this specific location. Julian the manager and Allison our waitress were truly outstanding. The food was great, as always, but the service was above and beyond. Truly all in for the customer and commented to providing a great dinning experience. Top notch!
