I love the speed of this and the auto setting I love the speed of this and the auto setting. My main issue comes from the auto feed and the roller set-up for the same. It will feed pages into the scanner crooked and crumple them about 1 out of 5 if the originals paper is not 18lb ' ish. (i.e. Onion skin or old school papers that were done on Mimeo and magazine pages are the ones that tend to give the most problems).
All in all it is a good scanner, though difficult to connect for starting up ... All in all it is a good scanner, though difficult to connect for starting up and seems to jam quite a bit.

Produces excellent quality scans Produces excellent quality scans.I use it as a standalone scanner (no PC) and all scans go to a network folder. It works perfectly. A bonus of the thumb drive capability is I can use it as a travel scanner.

Terrific Scanner! I am very pleased with the Brother ADS 1500W Compact Color Desktop Scanner. Prior to this purchase, I was using an all-in-one printer/scanner and it was slow. I can't believe the speed of this scanner. It has the capability to scan both sides of a paper in one run through the scanner. The scan can be sent to a computer, saved on a USB, sent to email, etc. It also has the capability to scan cards (drivers license, insurance card, etc.) which is really nice because it seems I'm always having to include a copy... read more
It's great, but it's more complex than the Neat and ... It's great, but it's more complex than the Neat and the software is as useless as any other one
Amazing. This? It's the best thing since sliced bread. I have no idea how I lived without one. I have a ton of paper being a teacher and the software alone makes this worth it. So a lot of old graduate school notes that I don't need often? Scanned and now my bookshelves have free space! If you have wrinkled paper, or your tore out a staple? Be careful as that might jam it. Awesome!!! Awesome little scanner!!!! Inexpensive and Works great. Definitely recommend it. Don't waste your money on more expensive ones
