Would not recommend at all The machine is incredibly slow, to the point where I wonder if it is defective. I recently started using it and found that it took 10 minutes to scan one page at a low resolution. Half of the time, the document fails to save, due to scanning error, and more often than not the paper gets jammed, so I have to restart the machine and hope it doesn't rip my documents as I scan it. Would not recommend at all.
Couldn't get it working with Linux Says its Linux compatible. Hah! The manufacturer Linux drivers are not supported and outdated. Did not work with Ubuntu 16.04! I tried alternate methods to get the scanner to work with SANE, but no amount of fussing got it going.

Needs working software for Windows 10 -64 The scanner is great when the software works. After 1 scan computer must be restarted to scan again. Support was of no help.
Was led to believe this was wireless, but... Searching for desktop wireless scanners yields this as the top 2 result. Amazon, please fix this. Being stuck to a cable is the last thing we want now. I'll keep it, but just know that I'm not happy being misled by search results.
Great price for a decent product! I bought this replacing a Fujitsu S1500 scanner. I tried another Fujitsu scanner but it went dead after about a week. They just don't make them like they used to and Fujitsu is almost double the price of this Brother scanner. So far it's working fine. The only drawback I see so far is that the Fujitsu could be set to automatically scan both sides of the paper where this Brother scanner you have to turn the pages over and scan the other side. Not good with ruffled paper It scans quickly when it works, but sometimes it double feeds, and when it does that, it discards all the pages it was scanning, so it's realy bad for scanning large piles of somewhat ruffled papers.
