Hello, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with our recent moving experience. Unfortunately, the service did not meet reasonable expectations, and several serious issues occurred during the process. During the pickup, only one mover was actively working for most of the time. I wish I would've read the yelp reviews. How does it take 5 hours to load a truck for a 2 bedroom small apartment with 3 movers? Because they were screwing around and boxing things without even asking if that was necessary. It wasn't. Also, they left bigger items such as the washer and dryer along with big tvs that don't fit in my SUV. So the job wasnt even completed. We saw some broken items as well. For me, a local move could not be scheduled for several days and the price was high. I was able to find a local moving service at a better rate and actual next day service! Luckily, I also read the reviews on Yelp and so I found better.
I hired All My Sons for a short local move. The crew started out great, but they made a huge mistake -- they left an entire room of my belongings behind. Yes, I should've double-checked, but I was physically exhausted, grieving the loss of my father, and trusted them to be thorough. I missed checking the laundry room. When I called to report it, the person was condescending and unhelpful. He offered to fix it -- but only after my move-out deadline, which didn't help at all. Irreplaceable, sentimental items were stolen. Primarily a record collection, the only thing I inherited from my grandmother. That's not something that gets misplaced easily so they can't cite that. Charges were more than anticipated. Had to make a claim about some damage and staff was very rude, including hanging up on me twice.

I called All My Sons and was quoted $400 per hour for moving a few pieces of furniture a small distance in town. I called back that afternoon and was quoted $149 per hour. Nobody could answer for the huge discrepancy. Then, the poor kid for the move and had the most insane amount of paperwork that would have taken me an hour to actually read, and I had to sign it all on my moving dime. Quoted one price then raised it by 30%-- when asked about the increase, stated it was because I needed them within a few days. They had the day from my initial request. Lol

I hired them to move my furniture, etc to my storage. I told them multiple times that I had two large TV's that needed boxed up. I mostly talked to Alan, who is the manager. They neglected to mention the TV boxes were $100 a piece until they showed up at my house... Needless to say I was unhappy about this. I had to run to Home Depot to get TV boxes which were $35 and $45 instead of $100. I had to buy bubble wrap for my painting since they neglected to mention they didn't have bubble wrap.
