Told us the minimum would be $1800. I doubled that to 3600 to be happy with the move. FINAL BILL $5890.00. The movers put 10 to 12 pieces of huge heavy-duty paper on small glass bowls and the same on everything. They did not move very fast. And the 4th guy was useless. Spent a lot of time staring at the pool. I looked at the reviews and they were great. I figure it was family and friends. Avoid if you do not want to pay way too much!!!
The final price was nothing like the quote. I was charged for a truck to move across the parking lot. The crew was sloppy, dropped, broke and damaged property.
Left with my chair...I called and complained...did get it back but the arm broke and the cord missing...way too high priced.
I booked this company a month in advance and confirmed the move with them the day before. The morning they were scheduled to arrive they canceled on me! They said their drivers called in was the reason. The manager I spoke to offered me a 50% discounted fuel rate to move my booking out 3 days to a Tuesday but nothing else for the inconvenience. This company and its management are absolute dogshit. Used AMS for a local move from a 1 bedroom apartment to a storage unit for a few pieces of furniture, bed, and washer/dryer. 0 Stars would be more appropriate for my experience. This company is shady and not transparent with their unreasonable fees. 1st thing: I paid 3 hours at $129 an hour with "1 hour added for travel time. 30 minutes to and from the destination", along with a ridiculous fuel charge. Two hours late, a bad mood to start, charged to much, over all a bad experience.
After accepting my order and taking my deposit over a week ago, this joker by the name of ? Mike calls me 2 DAYS BEFORE THE MOVE to tell me the wretched company does not work out of a retirement place!!! Do not recommend this company to anyone else!!!
The reception was good, however after an agreed price was established things changed. I gave a deposit and to this day I don't know how it was applied. The actual movers did a great job moving my things from storage and assured me at the half way mark when I signed a billing for $750 that my total would not exceed $1300. After the final load was off loaded i had to pay an additional $750.00 because there were 2 trips made even though the distance traveled was less than 10 miles...you do the math. Originally quoted $258 to move a refrigerator & a washer 15 miles. Next day was quoted $440 & reduced to $387. Day of delivery one of the drivers then told me it would be $489. Was corrected back to $387. Movers did do a great job.
