The men who came were nice, polite and very hardworking. However, they arrived late, I was promises and charged for 3 movers, but only two showed up. A third arrived to help at 4PM and helped till 9PM. My boxes were marked as to which room they belonged, but because of how they were packed and unloaded they were all mixed up. They lost the bolts for my metal desk. I had to repeatedly ask for the movers to take my art too... it was poorly packed an some frames had minor damage. I am generally not the type to leave bad reviews, but my experience with AMS was so unprofessional and terrible that I felt like I had to. I originally hired AMS to move me into a two bedroom townhome. I rented a uhaul on my own and just hired AMS to unload it at my new place because I would not have enough help. They were very nice and promised great things when I booked this move. On the day of, I called to confirm the time about two hours before they were supposed to meet me and my mom. This company is horrible. DO NOT use these people. We waited around all day for them to show up at 345.....to then be told the guys who showed up to move are not movers, they work in the shop, but there was no one else to do it. Then we got charged for packing material that was not used, and they have a 3 hr minimum charge. I don't know why people ever use them!!!

I was in contact with AMS numerous times before moving day. I will give them 4 stars for being polite and courteous over the phone. Also for verifying the day before moving day times and addresses. The big day is here. Why are they calling me at 9:30am verifying the address is in KCK?? I am in OP, KS!!! My brand new bedroom set only bought a year ago was dropped down the stairs. One of my major concerns was my bedroom set, I even called in after making arrangements asking about insurance because my bedroom set is basical... read more

I have emailed and tried to resolve this. So many hidden charges, lies about charges, pro-rated charges-yet another lie. Lied about when they'd be there. Wasted 3 hours of my time waiting on them. Called and no resolution. Reported to BBB.
