The Animal ER of University Park, L.L.C. is staffed by veterinarians and licensed or highly experienced veterinary technicians who are physically present during all operating hours. The Animal ER is a well equipped facility with diagnostic, surgical and life-saving equipment. The Animal ER of University Park was created because the people of north Sarasota county and the entirety of Manatee county were having to travel too far for veterinary emergency care which at the time was located in south Sarasota county. The founders of the Animal ER recognized this need, and in November of 2002 opened the Animal ER to serve the people and pets of Manatee and north Sarasota counties.

Thank you so much Andrea. We absolutely needed to hear this today. Dulce was so sweet and she made a special bond with Megan A., her nurse. They had lots of snuggle time last night.

Marianne, we are saddened by the loss of your furbaby. An emergency permissions form is required in critical cases that explains the costs associated with emergency care and yes deposits ate taken during the intake process. In reviewing your records, it was apparent that you did not qualify for the Compassionate Care program. The requirements are explained in our notes section on this page. Again, please accept our condolences on the loss of your pet due to tragic circumstances.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Rader, we cannot begin to tell you how terribly sorry we are that you did not receive the clay paw print of Layla. Layla was most definitely treated with the utmost respect and dignity she deserved. We do however, understand your anger, you are right, there are no second chances for a paw print now and I, personally, am ashamed to say that we did not get this done for you. As explained today, we do not perform the cremation, an outside company does. Layla's remains will be returned to your primary veterinarian as you requested. This was confirmed today as well. It can take up to 10 days, we have no control over this. Again, our sincerest apologies for our mistake in not getting a clay paw print of your beloved friend and deepest sympathies for the loss of Layla.
