A big thumbs up for the Animal Kind team for a successful dental on my baby Dusty! If you are reluctant to bring your fur baby in for a teeth cleaning/extraction, you are in good hands here. I was so so apprehensive over getting my cat son a dental even though he absolutely needed it ($10 shelter cat seems like a bargain.... until you smell their breath) We always knew he had dental disease but didn't realize how bad his teeth were until we got his X-rays. I've been going to AK for almost 20 yrs. and have always been treated well. Due to distancing, they have protocols and it seems like fewer appointments. The front desk staff is helpful, they answer emails right away too. Dr Williford is very kind, patient, compassionate, and transparent. She explained what was up, called to report on a test a day later, and emailed me with more information. I have been bringing my pets to Animal Kind for over 20 years. I have always had a postive experience. I recently had to bring my cat in due to constipation. He was seen by Dr. Sara Witherell. Dr Witherell is caring,companisioate and very knowledgeable.

My dogs have been going here for a few years, and I've referred many people here. This clinic has friendly staff (their tech are very nice!), the vets are thorough and understanding, they are supporters of shelter pets by giving discount rates to partner animal welfare orgs, their online pharmacy is user-friendly, facility is spacious enough, plus their location is fantastic for South-Slopers! This is the best veterinary in Brooklyn! I took my dog here for 5 years (2013-2018) before moving out of state. Each Veterinarian and Vet Tech we've encountered at Animal Kind treated my dog and me with professionalism and genuine compassion. They gave me options when treatment was needed and were always transparent about expectations and cost. I have used these guys for many years for multiple cats. Yes, their prices are somewhat high, but from my experience they are very skilled at what they do. It all depends on which vet you choose, as there are many to choose from at any given time here. This place saved my previous cat's life multiple times, and thank God he lived a long life. Our ~4 month old rescue pup had her first appointment here! Dr. Jaffe was amazing. He took 20 minutes of his time and answered all my questions about her care. He was professional and gave us great recommendations. We definitely found our vet!

This happened quite a while back but I will FOREVER be indebted to Dr. Black and the wonderful staff at Animal Kind for saving my baby's life! After not ever being there, I literally walked in with my almost 70 pound baby in my arms. Bleeding from his nose, ears and not moving as a result of being hit by a car on a busy Brooklyn street.
