Our experience with Animal Kind just keeps getting better. Our dog (also known as our third child) had her vaccines today.....great appointment, great service...and 5 hours later she was having a reaction. We were not only brought back in promptly, we were treated SO kindly and our girl is home resting and recovering now. Thank you, Animal Kind!!!

I have been using Animal Kind since I moved to Brooklyn 13 years ago and they have taken terrific care of both my pets. They are open 7 days a week allowing appointments to be made around my hectic work schedule. The staff is kind, and the doctors are knowledgeable and caring. If it is something outside of their expertise, they will get you to a doctor that can address any special concerns your animal is having. I've taken my dog to AKVH twice now. I've had a generally good experience. They see you quickly, if you have an appointment and the receptionists are nice. The vet techs and nurses are nice, also. I had two doctors this last visit and had opposite experiences with both of them. Dr. Hammer was insensitive and unprofessional. While going over my estimate of costs (after I had just found out my dog had a serious condition) she said "holy shit!" I was completely caught off guard and very uncomfortable. We have been at this Vet several times now with our puppy. She just had surgery there this week. Every time I spoke to anyone there it was such a great experience. They are friendly and very thorough with everything. I need help with filing a claim with the insurance and they promptly sent the medical records. That was the only thing holding up my claim and they understood how pressing it was for me to get it done. I would recommend this place to any of my friends :-)

My husband and I have been taking our cat to Animal Kind because he's been acting weird lately. He's been having us worried so we thought it would be best to have him checked out. The first time we went, it was an emergency and we were walk-ins and we had to pay the walk-in fee. The other times we went, we just had to pay for the services and medicine. After visiting 2 veterinarians for dental work on my cat, I went to Animal Kind. My cat had pancreatic and needed some dental extractions. My first encounter with the reception desk when I called was handled with such professionalism and kindness. They went out of their way to help us. It's very hard to find a veterinarian office with a great front desk staff but these guys are wonderful. The veterinarian was also so kind and thoughtful. Dr. Werner & Dr. Black have been caring for my cats for years. They listen to all my wacky worries, thoughts. They explain things clearly, kindly. I trust them 100%. I always feel I've done my best by my cats through them. The veterinary office is clean, does a lot of medication in house, gets blood work back quickly. They have very accessible hours. Our family has taken our dogs to Animal Kind for over 15 years. Dr. Gibson and his wonderful staff have delivered loving and talented care to our pets. We have always been happy with all of the doctors we have known there .When our first dog was nearing the end of her life, and we struggled with how to make her comfortable for as long as possible Dr. Gibson very gingerly guided us through this process . Don't ever hesitate to take your pets to Animal Kind. We wholeheartedly recommend them!

We have been coming here for several years. Dr. Black is the best! When we had to have a pet put down, they were very direct and kind about the whole thing. Other vets I had gone to, I felt, strung us along to milk us for more money while the end result was eminent, unfortunately. We did have an unpleasant experience with another vet here. So, we just make sure we use Dr. Black. I can see how some of the reviews here would be critical of the front desk, but it doesn't really bother me.
