After 12 1/2 years of treatment under the ownership of Peggy Chamberlain, D.V.M. , my dog Maddie will no longer be returning to Animal Medical Center. After the last two visits I no longer have confidence that Maddie is priority. Under new ownership it seems to me that the almighty dollar has now become priority # 1 and animals #2. To the staff who cared for Maddie all these years, I thank you and wish you luck. Maddie has found a new vet who will be caring for her in her remaining years.
Waited over an hour to be seen by the doctor.
The staff was wonderful, listened to my needs and concerns for my pet. I have some concerns about new procedures, they seem to run out if my pets medication often and prices seem higher than in the past a procedure that cost around $300 is upwards of $750. Not exactly a way to keep clients coming back......
I had a 10:20 AM appt. They didn't take Sly back till 10:40. There were two people in the waiting area, one was basically done, and was waiting to speak to someone. So the wait was average, they took care of Sly in no time, which was above average. I was overall satisfied.
As a customer of 18 years we have chosen to leave AMC of CL due to the circumstances of our last appointment and because of the new owner policies. On our last visit we sat in the waiting room for 45+ minutes with 2 German Shepherds while all the patient rooms were available but one. I asked the receptionist to put us in a room and she told us they did not run the rooms anymore and could not. Later, a tech came out and said she was waiting to put us in the big room. Our visit with Billy went really well. Your staff and Dr. Brooks were all very kind, gentle and helpful.
Horrible experience. Front desk staff is rude & unwelcoming. Wait time is excessive - always run 1/2 hour late minimum. Doctor didn't even send us home with recommended meds. Would NOT recommend this Vet!
