NO COMMUNICATION with me at ALL from when i had initial exam w/ Dr SEidel up through the day of sheduled surgery for my dog. I made calls to try to speak to her....she was either on vacation or "too busy" --no other Vet able to speak to me. I HAD received a call from a tech stating that before my dogs scheduled surgery ,they needed more detailed bloodwork and ultrasound (which they dont do there!), and results of these tests may affect my decision to proceed with surgery. Dr Seidel NEVER contacted me about any of this infor... read more

I made a phone call to Ark veterinary Hospital inquiring about my dog, who had eaten something he should not have eaten and was ill. He seems to be acting fine this morning. The receptionist on the phone was very rude. She said they had no appointments available and no doctor that they could talk with. And that I needed to call the emergency animal vet. Then hung up on me. This is the worst experience that I've had. And I am now going to look for a new vet because why would I go to a vet that doesn't want to take time to see... read more

Today was my first appointment at Ark Vet, and I found the staff has zero people skills when it comes to explaining their policies and the Corona virus protocols. As a new patient I had expectations to at least meet the Veterinarian, but the expectation at Ark is that you will hand over your dog and wait in your car for a phone call. The person who called me was thorough in explaining the routine visit, but I was very disappointed with the service provided. This practice was more concerned with my credit card than with my sa... read more
I have taken my dogs to this place for a couple of years now and She cannot keep staff. I have had several bad experiences in the past few months. I call to make appointments and receptionist has no idea what is going on. Sent my dog to get a shot and nails done and only nails were done and had to bring her back for the shot and of course pay again to bring her in. Tried to get my dog in this week and was informed that visits are considered emergency visits due to covid. I told them what they are doing is illegal. You like a... read more
I brought my cat Charlie here a couple days ago for an anal gland expression (keep in mind, Charlie had this done once before). My appointment was at 12:30 PM, so of course I got there a few minutes early. I talked to the receptionist and they said my appointment was at 1 which was completely wrong, and they never even gave me a confirmation call before this which apparently it's their policy to do that. My cats were sitting in the car for over 40 minutes waiting to get treated. Once Charlie and my other cat finally went in,... read more
I'm VERY disappointed with Henrietta Ark Veterinary. I have a dog who is very nervous and needed an urgent appointment to take care of a tumor in the neck and a broken nail that was bleeding. Because of this, I followed the medication protocol prescribed by them of gabapentin, trazodone, and acepromazine, even though I told them TWICE, once in person, and once over the phone that in the past, it didn't work for my dog, much less in the dosage prescribed. Upon arrival, they took my dog to the back, and around 20 minutes later... read more
My niece and I found this place under duress as her tiny dog had fallen off the bed and 24 hours later seemingly could not use his back legs. Like the other reviews, we found the place to be cleans updated. The front desk was run efficiently by a helpful, albeit exhausted woman who stated she had been there for going in 10-11 hours. We were seen by a technician first who was personable but utilitarian at best. She may have stated her name but I missed it. When the vet came in there was no exchange of names and really no intr... read more

We are actually very happy to hear of Rumsy's recovery. Many dogs that come in unable to use their back legs properly after a spinal injury end up requiring surgery or become permanently paralyzed. It is impossible to predict if spinal injuries will progress so it is imperative we take every necessary precaution to try to save the use of his limbs. Our diagnostic course and recommendations were appropriate to ensure the best possible outcome which luckily happened in Rumsy's case. If you have additional questions please ... read more
I went to Ark Veterinary Hospital and Urgent Care with my new puppy, Winnie in early September. Recently, I had an appointment scheduled for Winnie to be spayed. Prior to the surgery, I heard from other professionals, including another vet, that research seems to indicate that owners should wait until their golden retriever is two- years old before they are spayed due to complete growth plates not being formed until then and because of the high incidence of cancer in GR. I had some questions on this surgery and called Ark... read more
