I was never going to write a review for this office, but it looks like they have good engagement on Yelp so potentially the information could be useful for them moving forward. I adopted my dog at the end of March. As far as I'm aware, we don't have a ton of urgent/emergency vets in the area, and this was one of two I had the information for. I've had to bring my leopard gecko here twice now due to a prolapse, and I have been more than happy with the care and service here! First off, the receptionists are incredibly kind, perhaps the friendliest and most personable I've encountered, which speaks volumes given the fact that ARK is a busy place, and I'm sure very stressful. I've lived in Rochester for almost 9 years now and been to many vets around the area. Don't bother going anywhere else -- come to The Ark! Seriously!!! They are so kind and attentive to each of our pets. I always trust their diagnoses, which I can't say the same for a few other practices we have been to. We initially made an appointment here because our "regular" vet couldn't see our dog for 8 weeks. We called The Ark and they got us in that same week. So pleased that we switched to Ark. Dr. Seidel is caring, compassionate, and truly knowledgeable. She responds to phone callls and emails, and provides some of the best care my dogs have received. The staff is very kind and friendly (and animal lovers too), so I know my pets are in good hands. My biggest plus: I never feel like I'm being gouged. Being a bunny owner, it can be difficult to find vets (especially emergency vets) that will see rabbits. We were referred to Ark through our normal vet when our bunny wasn't eating and was acting lethargic. We were seen immediately. It also was great that we were allowed back with our rabbit. At other emergency vets, they took our pets and we waited in the waiting room. Dr. Seidel was GREAT. I knew she was comfortable with bunnies and was very helpful to us. Even with the negative end to this story, I am really excited about this review and can't wait to tell you all how amazing Ark Veterinary Hospital is. I happened to be in town visiting my family when I noticed very quickly upon getting home that something was not right with my family's dog. Be careful before bringing your loved one in an emergency to this place, they are extortionists! That after charging you up front for an office visit $200 because your dog had a cut that needed stitching up with a stitch or two to keep it closed and germs out, they will hand you an estimate for $2500-3000 before sutcherring!!! Criminal right?
