Although it is frustrating that you can not make an appointment for the next day if there are not slots, the care is excellent. The vet and technicians were very knowledgable and kind. I wist they took on new patients.

We have both a new puppy and an older dog, both small breed, with Ark. They have done right by both of them. We've worked with a couple other vets in town and Ark has been the best so far. - clean premises/exam rooms. - reasonable pricing. - personable staff. I'm between 4-5, but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt because my only complaint is the same one I have about human healthcare: COVID protocols that separate patients from their loved ones cause additional anxiety that makes bad situations worse. I was never going to write a review for this office, but it looks like they have good engagement on Yelp so potentially the information could be useful for them moving forward. I adopted my dog at the end of March. As far as I'm aware, we don't have a ton of urgent/emergency vets in the area, and this was one of two I had the information for. I've had to bring my leopard gecko here twice now due to a prolapse, and I have been more than happy with the care and service here! First off, the receptionists are incredibly kind, perhaps the friendliest and most personable I've encountered, which speaks volumes given the fact that ARK is a busy place, and I'm sure very stressful. I've lived in Rochester for almost 9 years now and been to many vets around the area. Don't bother going anywhere else -- come to The Ark! Seriously!!! They are so kind and attentive to each of our pets. I always trust their diagnoses, which I can't say the same for a few other practices we have been to. We initially made an appointment here because our "regular" vet couldn't see our dog for 8 weeks. We called The Ark and they got us in that same week. So pleased that we switched to Ark. Dr. Seidel is caring, compassionate, and truly knowledgeable. She responds to phone callls and emails, and provides some of the best care my dogs have received. The staff is very kind and friendly (and animal lovers too), so I know my pets are in good hands. My biggest plus: I never feel like I'm being gouged. Had a very hard time finding a Vet that was knowledgeable to care for my parakeet (exotic/avian) that was in the office when I felt it wasn't too cold to take him out to be looked at. I have found that Dr's knowledgeable on birds are only in the office a few times a week, were in surgery & couldn't see him until nighttime when it's even colder out & wouldn't squeeze him in knowing there was an actual problem & really shouldn't wait. Being a bunny owner, it can be difficult to find vets (especially emergency vets) that will see rabbits. We were referred to Ark through our normal vet when our bunny wasn't eating and was acting lethargic. We were seen immediately. It also was great that we were allowed back with our rabbit.
