The food was ok, a bit on the small side this time round. Have been there in the past, and even had a catered event there. The soup, lobster bisque that night was the best ever tasted. It was quite cold in there for the ladies, could have been that one of the blowers were above our table. I am sure we could have moved to another table since there were plenty open. Would go back again. Too bad they do not locate their main dining room in the rental room, it has a view!
The small plate food was very good. The service was outstanding as always. My wife and I had the veal chop as an entree and were very disappointed. My wife's chop was tough and half was inedible due to the amount of fat and connective tissue. My chop was very similiar. I do not recommend the veal chop. The cookies and cream dessert was the best part of the meal.
The Bacchus staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. I did enjoy the atomosphere of the restaurant despite the close proximity of the tables to each other. The special request that I made for a booth was honored, which I appreciated. I enjoyed the quality of the food and found it to be excellent. The one complaint that I did have was that one of my courses was served at a temperature that could have been a little warmer. Overall I would say that my experience with Bacchus was excellent and I plan on returning.
One of Milwaukee's best restaurants. Great food that won't disappoint! Definitely pricey, but well worth it for that special occasion.
Live in Chicago, and visited Milwaukee. Loved this restaurant. Look forward to returning.
As always, a wonderful evening. At 10pm we looked around & realized we were the only ones left in the room but no one was hovering, looking impatient to clean up our space. We plan to come back with a group for the vegetarian dinner in April. Bacchus is my favorite high end restaurant in Milwaukee (and we have a lot of fantastic places here).
I never cease to be delighted by the experience of dining at Bacchus. It is the best restaurant in Milwaukee!
The food was outstanding! I disliked that we were seated directly next to the servers post and the entire restaurant had available seating and I had a reservation. Waiter did not take our drink order before taking our food order, we had to ask him to do so. We could hear the waiter/server scuttle while dining. This was due to the close proximity of the waiter station. We did not feel the service was fully up to par for the type of restaurant it is. That really left a sour impression.
Excellent service, delicious food. This is the place to go if you really want to be pampered for an evening. they take good care of you.
