The food was very good but pricey. Very few affordable wines on the menu, but one of the "propreitary" blends we selected was reasonable. The one problem we had was with the waitress. We told her that we had theater in 2 hours. We were the first guests to arrive. It took quite a while after we were finished to get our bill (total time for dinner was 1hr 45 min). We arrived at the theater after the curtain had gone up. One other problem was the fairly loud new age jazzy hip hop music. Didn't add to the dining experience.
We were celebrating a wonderful event so found this online and decided to try it. The food and wine were outstanding, but our service was just fair.
My husband and I came to celebrate my 30th birthday. The 4 for $40 prix fixe menu was fantastic (I especially enjoyed the WI goat cheese starter) and a great value. The servers are attentive and personable. This is a more formal restaurant, and we felt a bit underdressed. Do make sure to dress up when visiting - no shorts, guys.
The service was top notch. The food was nicely presented and enjoyable on the palate. The tenderloin filet came sliced, which made it an interesting presentation and easier to eat. The tuna tartare was excellent, as was the asparagus soup. The food was expensive, everything ala carte, but we expected that. The surprise was with the wine list. It is very extensive - easily more than 100 bottles listed. However, there were maybe 10 bottles of red wine under $100. Most were well over $100. That was disappointing and will probab... read more
We had a wonderful dinner. We never felt rushed and the timing of the food was perfect! The new menu is incredible.
My wife and I had dinner at Bacchus on a Saturday night. I was very impressed at the value this upscale restaurant offered that night with not just one, but two separate Prix Fixe menus! The food was marvelous, as we expected, and the foie gras appetizer especially noteworthy. Bacchus has a team service approach with three servers and I'm sorry to say that our team was not very well coordinated that night. The pacing was quite off throughout the meal with one server coming to take an order immediately following the other, wh... read more
The prix fixe menu was delicious and wine pairings very tasty! Our table was ready when we arrived and the service was good, although it took *forever* for the entree to arrive.
bartalotta restaurants are always top notch, our waiter was great but just not around enough. we would liked to have been attended to a little bit more but it was the last reservation of the evening so that could be a possible reason. it would not cause me not to return however
Unbelievable experience! Outstanding food and service. Note: It is pricey.
