Hotel needs ventilation! Pros: Clean, large room with a nice desk and separate vanity area. Large clean bathroom. Cons: We would have liked to have been able to eat at the restaurant. Location: Cute small town with restaurant and a nice coffee shop/bakery that also has table service. I didn't see other activities for families in the area. We didin't stay at this hotel to go to the casino, just because it was on our route. The first thing we noticed was the heavy cigarette smoke in the lobby. We were relieved that the room di... read more

Clean and Friendly Pros: Clean, Friendly and comfortable. Location: Many things to see and do. Most at no charge. We enjoyed a week long stay. The hotel and casino were clean. Bed comfort is subjective but we thought it was comfortable and better dthan the bed in the Atlantis Hotel in Reno. The staff was friendly. We had two meals in the hotel diningroom both were good. We had lunch in the casino deli several times, also good. We would stay there again.

Okay Hotel-Clean & New Pros: Liked that hotel area was separated from casino and all of the cigarette smoke it contained, hotel had it's own underground parking away from casino. Cons: Attitude of staff not the best. Being a casino they had a bunch of "security" people running around but less people focused on guest needs. Location: It's in agricultural area but can go south to Ferndale (5 miles) which is a charming Victorian town or 25 miles south to Ave of Giants for hiking. This is a casino hotel so if you like to gamble ... read more

40th Birthday Trip My wife and I where heading down the coast to Hollywood and stopped at Bear River Casino for the night. When we arrived we were amazed at how nice it was inside and out. We have stayed in many casinos over the years and this was one of the nicest. The staff was great, our room was big and clean. Comfy bed and we had fun winning in the casino too. We will go again for sure.

Nice room, mixed reviews of staff Pros: The hotel room was very comfy and nice. Cons: The casino was a bit creepy. Our room was very nice and the hotel in general was nice. I had mixed experiences with the staff. Check in was ok, friendly to me but slightly unprofessional conversation going on between the two staff members at the counter. The staff in the grab and go diner were very nice. The person who I spoke with at check out was downright cold.

Spacious rooms, good price. Location: The Ocean view comes from being high on a hill, miles from the coast... But the sunset was nice. The room was very spacious and clean, the "ocean view" was ok but I wouldn't book the room based on that. Our only complaints were the cigarette smell in the elevators ( the rooms were fine) and the noise. The walls are pretty thin and we could hear the room above us like they were walking on tile....in the morning, a house across the street was weed eating their yard... And I wouldn't recomm... read more

Great place to stay for the price! Pros: Bed and staff Cons: nothing Location: A small drive from Eureka, easy to get to and worth the driving The lobby did smell like smoke, due to the Casino being 20 feet away; however our room on the 4th floor did not smell like cigarette smoke. I have no complaints about the room, it was vary nice, beds were vary comfortable and not your usual run of the mill room. The staff was vary helpful, pleasant, and nice to speak to. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to friends and family, an... read more

Great hotel for Eureka area....price!! Pros: Great room, great price Cons: distance back to Eureka was I think 7 miles or so on the freeway (easy to do) Location: pretty area....go into Ferndale one day, spring break, we stayed at a differnt spot for six nights from oregon coast to S>F> area....this was the nicest hotel of all...and a great rate. Unheard of to get a premium hotel for 60 bucks a night...we ended up staying two nights because we were ahead of schedule! did not play in the casino (smoke turns me off) the pool a... read more
