We found the Bluebird team to have shown exceptional kindness and professionalism over a very difficult period and couldn't have asked for better care for our aunt. The staff quickly established a real bond and genuine friendship and understanding with her and took time to find out her particular needs and likes. Bluebird stepped in to care for our mum in September 2018, after she had had a bad experience with another care company, who had been coming to her for six months. Bluebird was like a breath of fresh air, we hadn't realised that care could be so good. Bluebird have been excellent. Mum looks forwards to the visits from the “ladies” many of whom have gone above and beyond what could have been expected of them. Communication with Bluebird has also been great, with any queries we raise receiving a timely and thoughtful response. Bluebird has also been proactive in contact us if they felt there was something we needed to know about in terms of mum’s wellbeing.
Bluebird Care is more than just a care agency for my mum. The team does the everyday things without a rush and always with a laugh and a smile meaning my mum gets the valuable care she needs buts just as importantly has people in her house that she really enjoys being with and looks forward to seeing. We have used Bluebird care Lancaster & South Lakeland for the last few years for my sister who has Alzheimer's and would recommend them to others who are looking for reliable and sensitive home care. They have worked with us to support my sister so she can remain in her own home with her beloved dog. My brother became very ill with lung cancer and COPD at the beginning of January. He had been resistant to getting any kind of help, but after a visit from two of the managers of Bluebird Care, he agreed with me that this was a good option. He received four visits a day and from the beginning, both he and I were extremely happy with the care he received. Bluebird Care stepped in at very short notice to look after my father following the sudden and unexpected death of my mother. The high standards of care provided by this agency enabled us to honour Father's wish to be cared for in his own home, for three years, until his increasing frailty made homecare no longer viable. My experience with Bluebird has been fantastic from the word go. The organisation from the administration has shown a great deal of compassion in carefully choosing a carer who is right for me. Bluebird is a company that cares about you as an individual. They have made me feel appreciated and cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends.

Would not recommend. On the surface care seemed adequate, but I realised calls were being completed drastically short of designated times. I raised the issue to be assured it wasn't the case. I continued to monitor and discovered even the team leader was call cramming. When escalated, directors promised they were making constructive changes.
