1970s horse trader sales experience. Don't let the fancy showroom or suit and tie clad sales people fool you. This dealership sells cars like they were on Rt. 22 in Springfield. I recently engaged in discussions to lease a new BMW from Open Road of Roxbury. The absolute worst dealership I have ever been to. one goes to BMw with a feeling of trust in a brand and an expectation of customer service and reliability. I recently purchased my third BMW from Roxbury, open Road BMw and the experience since October has been nothing short of a nightmare. The dealership was dishonest from the get go by trying to sell me a car that had been in an accident. Secondly, they sold me a car that was in the shop for service 7 out of 10 weeks of ownership. Our salesman, Naim, lied about what inventory he had. We drove 40 minutes to see a car that didn't fit our specifications, and then he spend 2 hours jerking us around pretending that he had just brought out the wrong car. I can't speak for the whole dealership, but Naim Mehmedagic is a liar and horrible salesperson. Deal with anyone else.
Please very very wary about some of these reviews, I'm starting to think these are all written by their sales rep. They were pretty nice -- but the manager, Alan, made false promises, mistakes during negotiation process, and overall was very unpleasant. You could tell that he didn't like his job and didn't deserve his job at all. The dealer is selling a warranty on tires and rims that says they will replace if anything happens as many times as need be. A friend of mine recently purchased a car from the Roxbury NJ open road group and somewhere between the purchase and delivery the tire Rim was damaged by the dealer - the people purchased the insurance and then they would not replace the rim on NEW BMW which the dealer themselves damaged. I have recommended that my dear friends contact the Better business people this is a scam. Good Luck BMW owners.
christian promised me to have a brand new 535xi for a loaner. I just got my new bmw 650XI but upon delivery there was a problem with the seat so I made an appointment for service epecting that I will get the 5 series. I called an hour before and nobody told me that i was getting an old 3 series which I hate driving. First of all, a brand new 650XI that costs 99K should not have any problems and should have been checked thoroughly. My husband and I are in the market to purchase a new car. Bought our last car in Morristown but we are not happy with the service which we recieved for the duration of the warranty. Came to Roxbury and enjoyed the experience.
I saw a used car online and thought it looked nice. I called them and asked them about the car (what was wrong, mechanics, etc.) the guy told me he did not know and would call me back. He called me back and told me that there is some cosmetic damage. when i asked him what specifically he said "a scratch on the bumper and a cracked windshield" (that was it). so I said i would not come to see it because I am not paying to replace the windshield. My experience thus far with Open Road has been the worst. I'm very familiar with Harry33 and why he was disappointed he couldn't get the car for his fiance/wife. I too did my research and found a Certified Pre-own 2008 650 with 21K miles on it for a what I felt was a good price. This car was SUPPOSED to be for my fiance.
