Eye bag & filler bump after under eye fillers for hollowness Had a consultation for upper and lower blepharoplasty which cost $250. I was told I'm a good candidate for surgery (upper lower blepharoplasty with fat transfer $11,500) or fillers. Hello, we are sorry your filler treatment wasn't perfect. In some cases when surgery is a better option due to lower eyelid fat pads the filler treatment will not be entirely satisfactory. We do not however charge for reversal of filler if you wish to remove or reduce the hyaluronic gel that was placed. Please call our office if you wish for a filler reduction visit.
Surgery for bags: bags removed but now one eye shape/size slightly different than before and so eyes appear slightly asymmetrical, especially when wearing eyeliner and in photos. Just don’t look like me. Fat grafting too minimal, so hollowness in eye troughs noticeable. And in other area where fat was injected, ended up with two small lumps, so basically lump replaced bag on one side. C...

Disappointed with my appointment with Dr. Kotlus. In December 2019 I traveled to see Dr. Kotlus for tear trough filler because of all the reviews of how great he was at injecting the under eye area. Not only did I have a bad reaction to filler I also had an horrible experience with Dr. Kotlus. I was early to his practice waiting outside on a cold winter day while he was late. I'm writing this review for anyone who thinks this treatment will be a magic bullet for under-eye circles. I chose Dr. Kotlus because he specializes in this procedure and uses a cannula, which supposedly causes less bruising. However, I had pretty significant bruising under one eye, and once the bruising and swelling went down, I was left with shallower tear troughs but also with a raised ridge below one tear trough and lumpiness in the other. This was my second time getting Restylane done around my eyes. The first time I went to a different doctor and only had injections under eyes. This time I did both under & upper eyelid (2 syringes). I was IN LOVE with the results for the first two days. I was crying that my biggest insecurity (hollow eyes / looking like a racoon or being asked if I was sick without concealer) was fixed for $1400.
