NO STARS! Heed the experience of Pup L. I took my dog here and did everything they recommended. $1600 in 5 months despite asking always for them to help me contain costs. Instead they kept charging again for services i had paid for. When i questioned this i got the same letter from Dr Robinson-- you don't trust us and they refused to treat my dog again. Wow - I am beyond amazed at my experience with this clinic. I was looking for a second opinion on a thyroid issue with my dog and possibly a new vet and called and went in for an appointment. I am not one to spare any expense with my dog but I do recognize frivolous charges as well. A standard office visit at any other vet is around $35 or $40, Brookfield charges way more - perhaps $65? Watch out for price gouging and charging you for things you told them you DID NOT want. Other than that, you can find a couple nice, honest vets there: the (female owner) and a new female vet.

Since my initial review of Brookfield (after an emergency visit with my German Shepherd) I have used Brookfield as the "regular" vet for my two dogs for the past 2+ years, and have spent thousands of dollars on their care there, including multiple mass removals for my aging dog Bondi. It is blocks from my office so it is very convenient. As time has passed, I am starting to feel that is it's only real plus. Went once, will never return. We took our puppy there for his first checkup. The vet was very distant, and barely talked to us or our dog. She acted as though she didn't like animals at all, and was more annoyed with our puppy licking her than anything else that was going on. She didn't pay attention to us and barely answered the questions we asked. The front desk people were nice, but entered our information incorrectly. . . I can't speak for their other vets, but I had a terrible experience with Dr. Sue Moriyasu. She was obviously one of those vets who hates dog breeders and because my puppy was from a breeder, she was incredibly unpleasant. She was dismissive about the standards my breeder has for her dogs neutering and vaccines. She scared the hell out of me about expensive surgeries that would be needed that I later confirmed were wildly exaggerated. Based on excellent reviews here, I took my ailing dog to Brookfield. Staff gave a great first impression. My issue is with the vet (not one of the owners.) Perhaps because our major issue was weight loss, she treated me like an animal abuser. Before examining my dog or reviewing test results, she came to a conclusion from which she never waivered. I am a potential new client. Called the office because I had a special concern about my dog and wanted to ask a few questions. Was told that one of the office managers needed to address it and they would call in a few days. Never called back. Business must be too good at this practice. But their lack of concern about my pet I find worrisome. No plans to take either of my pets here.

Ok, the emotional me wants to give this place a 1 or 2 star review, but the rational me is prevailing tonight. Not entirely fair to go so low since I have not actually used this vet. This is a review on their customer service (or lack of). I contacted them over a month ago for a quote for a pre-pay spay that the rescue required for our new puppy.
