I am really sorry to have to update my review in such a negative way. I was a client for a number of years, starting with the previous owners, who sold the practice a few years ago. I loved them and the whole staff here and received excellent care for my pets and fosters. I met most of the vets and they were all very good. There is nothing good I can remotely come up with for this place. They overcharge and under deliver and appear to care more for money than actually caring for their furry clientele. They don't let you in the lobby while they examine your dog and force you to wait outside despite the lifting of the mandate. I know that it is a medical facility so the mandate still applies, but some animals are not comfortable with other people and have tried to run away when their owner is not around. This place is unreal. Initial appointment- they requirement my wife to not sit inside despite we have a 2 year old toddler. Follow up appointment- we showed up 10 minutes early for the appointment; they wouldn't let us sign in or check the dogs in. We then returned literally a minute late; they rejected the dogs because they had an emergency. They made us reschedule. My dog was unnecessarily sent to a specialist which cost me a lot of money and time. After several years of taking my dogs here, my experience has been that there is a lot of turnover at this hospital and it is unfortunate that you cannot get to see your preferred veterinarian. Its not my practice to leave negative reviews but I felt it necessary to share this with others so your dog doesn't have to go through unnecessary treatment. My dogs deserve to receive the best care so I decided to go elsewhere.
Like a precious reviewer noted, something really changed in this place. Perhaps because all the doctors that used to be here are no longer here. They are now definitely business first, pets next. I used to bring my cats here many years ago but moved away from Redmond. I still found my way back because the old doctors gave me the impression that they were the best. Leaving my first ever negative Yelp review because my experience should be known. On 6/09, we took our Boxer in for his annual & mentioned that he had what we thought was a scab on his elbow that kept bleeding. The recommendation upon the completion of his visit was to put Vaseline on the "scab." A month later, we called back to say Vaseline was not working & the "scab" was still bleeding. Giving this rating personally to the LAZY and UNPROFESSIONAL receptionists who don't care about what customers are asking for, who do not respond to emails for days, who fail to pass time-sensitive information to the vets, who sit there on their mobile phones browsing Facebook all day. Their vets are good ones, but all the periphery staff is a sorrow spot on their professional face.
I absolutely despise writing negative reviews - as evident in my Yelp history. But this place, that we've been loyal to for the past 10 years (read also many thousands of dollars), has sadly lost the focus on the customer experience. Lack of assistance, compassion, and inappropriate sarcastic comments from the receptionists is truly appalling. My dog was scheduled for spaying. I had a brief conversation in the parking lot with the noise from the morning commute traffic going by, with the veterinarian doing the surgery when I dropped her off. At 1030 the veterinarian called me and said things went well and she would be ready for pickup at 130pm.
