The food was fantastic. The portions were huge, especially the chicken pot pie! What made the milestone birthday celebration even better was our server, Anna. She was friendly, delightful yet professional and very knowledgeable about the menu. Anna made a great meal for a party of four even more special!
I've been coming to this hot spot, along with its sister restaurant slightly uptown, for several years and for good reason. The term "diner" is slightly misleading. The food is fabulous, with portions big enough to share, which enables you to order two portions when you both can't decide. Despite the crowds, the service is impeccable, thanks to the oversight of Chris, the terrific manager. I love this place!!
The open table breakfast menu is fabulous. Unfortunately, for Mother's Day, they had a special menu with many fewer selections and a couple of dollars more per entree.... No pancakes or French toast 😞 However, the food was good, as was the service.
Top of the line service!
Brooklyn Diner Times Square is on a side street. Happened to pass it in a cab couple of days before attending a play. Since we have eaten and enjoyed the on on 57th St and it was close to the theatre we were attending, we decided to try it. It was early and there were few dining. Took a long time for our waiter to show up even though there were a cluster at the end of the bar. We had to ask the maître d' to send our waiter. The food was fine. We liked the décor. We will return because of the location.
First time. Will gladly return. Good food. Good service. Great for a breakfast meeting.
Seriously, the cinnamon raisin French toast was spectacular. You could separate the bread on the exact point where the cinnamon had been folded in. Make a reservation, don't take a chance waiting unless you are okay sitting at the bar while you wait. We'll be back to try more!
Everyone at the Brooklyn Diner is absolutely wonderful. They go out of their way to be immensely accommodating. We go every time we are in the theater district
Had a limited menu for a diner. The price was quite high for what you got.
