Although we arrived almost an hour early for our reservation, they were gracious enough to make allowances for us; and we only waited about 15 minutes for a table. The food was very good, even though a little pricey. Our only complaints were that we felt a bit cramped between other diners and that they had no children's menu. The hamburger plate was much too large for a five-year-old to consume, and yet they advertise "kid friendly."
The staff was cheerful and helpful despite the holiday crush, and the atmosphere is fun and very kid-friendly. The food is average except for the noodle kugel, which actually does taste like my mother's - yum. My teenager loved it and I would bring her back again.
Hamburgers were outstanding. Pastrami sandwich was not good at all and disappointing. Meat was cut way to thick, causing it to be tough and not marbled with fat. Just big chunk on top of each piece. Eaten there before and this was first meal that was not acceptable. Also berry milkshake had no flavor.
The restaurant, like many in NYC, is quite small. Food selection is good. Service was friendly.
a little cramped, but good food and fine service, overall i'd definitely go back again
Made an early reservation so as to make the theater on schedule. We had a great time. Celebrating my wife's birthday before an evening the theatre, it was a wonderful meal. Well attended and good food. Would plan exactly the same evening again.
Delicious, great staff and warm greeting. Fast and fabulous :)
We went for an early "pre-theater night" dinner at 5:15. We were seated right away. The place is crowded and the tables are so close that by the end of dinner, you're friends with all those around you -- a bit too close for my liking, but then -- that's "New Yawk". Things got noisy. We met some nice folks from Mobile, Alabama. My daughter and I each ordered a chicken soup ($9), and each bowl was enough for two or three people. Then we shared a delicious salad, which we could not finish.. The portions are unbelievably huge, s... read more
We were looking for something "easy" in the Theatre District and this fit the bill perfectly. A little pricey for burgers, but plenty of options on the menu to satisfy any hunger. Our party had the Veggie Burger (best we ever had), the Cheeseburger (excellent) and Chicken Pot Pie (looked awesome, tasted awesome). Overall a great experience for easy-going dinner. It wasn't fast, so allow a little time with the crowds, but well worth the wait. Our server was also great!
