I've been to this restaurant several times, and usually had a pretty good experience. However, this time the service and the food left something to be desired. The waiter seemed overwhelmed and never checked on us, and was absent most of the time. We finally asked others to help us. My eggs benedict with smoked salmon was served (as was everything else on the "brunch" menu) with a side of crispy polenta and tomato sauce...rather an odd combo. When I asked for it to be redone so that the tomato sauce didn't mix with the holla... read more

A very friendly welcome. Great location and choice of food. Excellent friendly staff who delivered us a bottle of birthday bubbly on the house. Great pre show food. A good old American burger in a New York diner on Times Square....Perfect.

We had breakfast and dinner and both times everything was perfect. No matter what you chose off the menu, you can be assured a great food experience awaits. Service has always been great as well.

We visited Brooklyn Diner on our first night in New York. It was great to visit a real American diner. The atmosphere was great and the three members of staff who served us during our visit were really friendly. I ordered a Brooklyn burger on gluten free bread. It was bread rather than a bun but it was really tasty. The waiter (James) also mentioned that the chips were cooked in a fryer with none gluten free products and offered an alternative to them. The food was amazing! I would definitely visit here again on our next tri... read more

I found this diner while on vacation in NYC. I first ate there for lunch then dragged my sister there another day for breakfast. It's within short walking distance of Times Square. Also, they take reservations and the food was delicious! I had the egg white omelette...yum!

Perfect little spot to dine before a play. Felt cozy and warm inside, partially because of the physical structure but also due to the very inviting host and servers. The food was perfect comfort food, burger, hot dogs, soup. Delicious, hand cut French fries. We accidentally found this place but will intentionally revisit.
