it was pricy, but we wanted a reservation for lunch next toSondheim theater. We split 1 chitcken pot pie, 1 noodle kogel, and one kayle caesar salad. I had one cup of coffee. With tip $53.00! I would only eat here again for a special occasion, or for matinee.
This was the first restaurant we visited in the city. We were met by a very helpful and friendly hostess. We spied our neighbors' dishes and decided that we'd have what they were having-the pot roast platter! Broccoli, mashed sweet potatoes and a very savory roast was enough for two to share. It was so delicious that we made the Brooklyn Diner the spot for our final meal in NYC as well. We will definitely come back the next time we are in NYC!
Apparently they are changing their name because they are not a true diner, we picked the place because it had diner in the name thinking we could get breakfast whenever, but they stop serving breakfast early, they still accommodated us but it was a very limited menu for breakfast, the food was still good and it was still a nice place to eat, would go back!
Our dinner was fantastic! Our waiter Joel selected all four of our meals for us. Each meal was beyond our expectations. Our family will never forget The Brooklyn Diner.
Been going to both Brooklyn diners for years and it's always been a restaurant that not only serves excellent food but they know how to cater to their clientele
We were looking for a good breakfast spot for our two children and three grandchildren. Brooklyn Diner fit the bill. Not only was it close to our Times Squre hotel, but the ambiance and food as well as the fact that we could make a reservation through Open Table made it a perfect choice. The freshly-squeezed OJ was as good as it gets. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked (runny yoke) though the Ebglish muffin was overlooked. The rest of the group had pancakes and were happy. We have eaten at BD a number of times before th... read more
Have returned with different friends many times. We are always very satisfied. Look forward to the next tine.
Came here after a business meeting in Times Square and wanted a place that catered to a number of preferences and also was quiet enough to continue a conversation. It was perfect ! Three of us ordered completely different mess and all of us were pleased. The wait staff were so professional I thought I was in a high end steak house. The manager (Chris) saw we needed a place to discuss business and sat us in a nice location and was sure to check in to be sure we were satisfied. Really impressed by him and his staff. I am so glad we chose the Brooklyn Diner for our group brunch. They were so accommodating when I changed the reservations from 8 to 10 to 12. The service was attentive and the food was excellent. Everyone was very happy with what they ordered from the oatmeal with bananas and strawberries, to the egg white omelet and the Huevos Rancheros. One member of our group said he would come back (from North Carolina) just to have the Mixed Marriage again. Definitely recommend and will make a point of eating here anytime we are in NYC.
