During a weekend in NYC, had brunch/lunch at the Diner. Great selections and freshness in food. The highlight was our waiter, Steve. He was terrific! I tend to "nurse" my coffee and instead of "topping it off" with more coffee, he brought me a fresh cup of coffee, without me even asking for it. He was a real pleasure to have as our server.
Service slow. Food okay. Hard to talk due to how close the tables are together
You definitely need reservations if you are going there during traditional meal times. The place is popular and located in a great spot for Theater and Times Square activities. The food is a little upscale from a typical diner and there is a bar. The only bad thing is they do not serve all day breakfast like NJ diners. The chicken pot pie keeps me coming back. Best ever. I rarely look at the menu! Wonderful desserts
The hot pastrami melted in your mouth...the best! The cheesecake was outstanding (they even served champagne (on the house) with dessert. Wonderful!
Love the Asian chicken salad, but everything is flavorful and served by friendly accommodating staff
Had to ask for menus twice... Had to also ask for service to order anything. Kale salad was delicious - once I added oil (too dry). Hot dog was amazing. Veggie Burger very good. Chicken pot pie was big bit average tasting.
Our lack of wait time, our terrific waiter and the warmth of the greetings and other staff attitudes plus the atmosphere and food , both taste and presentation made this a hit . we will return ! so perfectly located .
Great breakfast, large portions, but not inexpensive. A diner menu but white tablecloths, nicely dressed waiters.
