Had dinner prior to show. Food was very good, service was prompt, efficient and friendly. Nice place for reasonably priced food in area.

super great brunch! the service was excellent, as was the food. so happy we found this...
We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and since it was an evening, we were asked if we had theatre tickets and if so, for what time. They wanted to insure that we could make our theatre in time. The wait staff were all exceedingly polite and efficient. And... The food. We enjoyed the mac'n'cheese and the Chinese chicken salad. Absolutely delicious. Good sized portions. And if you have room, try the noodle pudding sundae. A special treat.

We were so pleasantly surprised with Brooklyn Diner! We had a group of 13 (adults and children) that we made 2 smaller reservations for in order to get a RSVP. I put a note in the comments asking for us to be seated together. The diner manager was fantastic at accomodating us! He placed us in two adjacent tables and added on seats. We were also so pleased with the food! We expected a diner type mediocre food...but what we received was upscale food! And it was delicious! Everyone was very happy with their meals. Omlettes and pancakes were great, waiter was competent and very friendly, on a busy Sunday morning they took us to our table right on time per our reservation
I must have walked by the Brooklyn Diner, just steps away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, countless times, but only discovered it when I was looking on Open Table for a restaurant for a post matinee early dinner. The proximity to Times Square and theaters make this a great place for pre or post theater. The food was very good and, as vegetarians, we appreciated the variety that enabled our non-vegetarian 20 something son to enjoy his cheeseburger while we had ample non-meat options to choose from. We were met by a really lovely front of house a older gentleman who was just so lovely and friendly we were seated in a booth near the bar and met our server a man with a beard sorry can't remember his name and met Carlos the barman also . Both these servers made up for the disappointing experience at breakfast . Both attentive funny and very lovely .
