The best staff and food in New York!
We had a delicious breakfast! the pancakes were light and fluffy and the french toast was thick and delicious; as they should be. The service was great, the atmosphere was authentic and we had a great meal all round. We left around lunch time when people where ordering salt beef sandwiches and hot dogs - wish we had room to sample them, they looked incredible! Later on that day we walked past their other diner on W57th - it looked brilliant too, a proper american diner rather than a restaurant in a building... depends what y... read more
I had the Roast Turkey Dinner, with all the Trimmings! Every Bite was better than the next! The Turkey was Roasted perfectly and the Gravy and Mashed Sweet Potatoes was sooooo good! Very special, quaint Restaurant!
Good food (we had breakfast), good service, comfortable seating, nice atmosphere. Not a diner atmosphere like the one on 57th, but nicer. Only down side is that it was very expensive, even for New York. About $23 for eggs, bacon and toast. No kid items but they do have sides.
We stumbled upon this place about 5 years ago and now visit every time we're in the City. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff are helpful and friendly and the food is good. Obviously, the location is perfect if you're in town to see a show. And, they seem happy to expedite things if you've got a show to get to.
Brooklyn Diner was perfect for our party of 6 after the parade. Waitstaff was excellent, even though it was a holiday, and it was packed. Good food, and big portions. Better than traditional diner food by far! We'd go again.
We were having a family get-together in New York which coincided with Thanksgiving. Knowing how busy everyone gets at this time in the USA I read some reviews and looking for an authentic american dining experience The Brooklyn Diner looked perfect and even more so with its fantastic location by Times Square. We weren't disappointed, although incredibly busy, we had to wait just 5 minutes for our reserved table. The menu offered something for everyone - our party consisted of 2 teenagers, their parents and 2 seniors. The wai... read more
Our family of eight had an amazing Thanksgiving day meal here. The service was excellent! The food was delicious and plentiful! And we loved the atmosphere with the white linen tablecloth's and sharply dressed staff. It truly was the best meal we had during the five days we were in the city.
Small place but wonderful food. The staff was very busy. The best was the chicken parmesan. It was a large portion and tasty. The egg plant parmigiana was small. Everyone loved there meal.
