Crazy high prices for a Times Sq setting. Maybe it's good for tourists, but for four New Yorkers who needed a convenient place to eat after a Town Hall concert , we were not impressed.
good food - overall nice place - i think due to its location it's a little pricier than avg. i had a very good avocado cheeseburger - the missus had stuffed trout - stuffed with scallops and schrimp. service was excellent - waiter with a sense of humor and great attitude.
We go here every time we go to NYC for the day. Although we were disappointed that the Lemon and Blueberry pancakes were taken off the menu, there is plenty of choices for a foodie to try!
The Brooklyn Diner on 43rd and Broadway is the perfect location to have a meal before a Broadway show and dessert afterwards. It's warm, energetic and the quality is excellent. The absolute best milkshakes in NYC and I love that they bring over the silver cup it was made in, it's like getting an extra serving. Everything we ate was delicious and a generous portion. I recommend do not miss dessert but come back if you're like me and filled up on the salad and entree. The Cheesecake and the Chocolate Blackout Cake are both exc... read more
We happened upon this place after a show and were treated to a very nice experience. The food is wonderful, staff attentive but not overly so, and the location is perfect if your buzzing around Times Square. I heard they have another location near Central Park and if they do as nice a job as this place I'm certain diners will love that restaurant as well.
Wanted Brunch or Breakfast on Saturday @ 11:45, but the Brooklyn Dinner has a policy of serving breakfast food only until 11:15 am. We were very disappointed that we couldn't get breakfast on a Saturday morning @ 11:45. The Brooklyn Dinner should make their policy more clear on Open Table, so that customers are aware when booking a reservation.
A group of us visited a year ago, we were delighted with red velvet pancakes and other delicious menu options that were not available this trip. I must say, for many of us in our party of more than 40 who dined separately over the weekend, we all reached the same conclusion - Sadly, the food was over-priced and not as tasty as our last visit.
Sure, this place is for tourists, but it is fun and the food is good. Our service was exceptionally good, too. I have already told others about the place.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to eat much because of our theatre tickets curtain time was 7 PM. We had less than a half hour. The waiter was wonderful and suggested we order desserts. We did and they were absolutely fabulous. Especially the coconut cake and the cheesecake. Delicious!
