service was slow, but atmosphere so New York and chicken soup the best!
Chicken pot pie was the best I ever had! The waiter was very nice. The only downside was the cost. I thought the prices were high. I am sure that part of the reason is that I live in South Jersey and am not used to paying New York prices, but $80 for two pot pies, two sodas and one ice cream is still expensive.
Way, way too busy for their staffing levels and capacity. Incredibly loud. Meals took forever to come, and watching other groups get increasingly depressed, frustrated, and hungry is never enjoyable :-/. That said, our food when it got there was very good (as always). I hadn't even realized this was supposed to be a "tourist destination" which I suppose explains a lot.
great for a quick pre-theatre nosh, and as well for an after theatre cheesecake!
Looking for a NYC restaurant with good food and reasonable prices, no hassles and a first rate staff. I found it at Brooklyn Diner Times Square. Chicken Pot Pie and Cubano chicken dinners were a hit. Bar very friendly.
We had a delightful dinner before moving on to the the 7:00 P M show of Glenngarry Glen Ross (an amazing performance by Bobby Cannavale). I had the salad platter with roasted chicken and my companion had the grilled salmon and spinach. Both meals were delicious with generous portions. Tracie, our waitress, was attentive, efficient and energetic. This is s a great spot for a quick, pleasant and delicous pre-theatre dinner and we will return.
Upscale diner serving comfort food, with branches near Carnegie Hall and Times Square. Food is a cut above average diner food, variety is good, and portions are huge, especially desserts. Known for their chicken soup, and cheesecake. Great for a quick bite pre or post theatre.
reliable
