Looking for a NYC restaurant with good food and reasonable prices, no hassles and a first rate staff. I found it at Brooklyn Diner Times Square. Chicken Pot Pie and Cubano chicken dinners were a hit. Bar very friendly.
We had a delightful dinner before moving on to the the 7:00 P M show of Glenngarry Glen Ross (an amazing performance by Bobby Cannavale). I had the salad platter with roasted chicken and my companion had the grilled salmon and spinach. Both meals were delicious with generous portions. Tracie, our waitress, was attentive, efficient and energetic. This is s a great spot for a quick, pleasant and delicous pre-theatre dinner and we will return.
Upscale diner serving comfort food, with branches near Carnegie Hall and Times Square. Food is a cut above average diner food, variety is good, and portions are huge, especially desserts. Known for their chicken soup, and cheesecake. Great for a quick bite pre or post theatre.
reliable
Always a great pre theater bite....good comfort food never leave hungry.
The pot pie is amazing and too much for one. Enjoyed the pigs in a blanket. Save room to dessert. Wait staff was very accommodating.
What a treat! I took my two daughters here for lunch before a matinee theater show and we all enjoyed it! The food was outstanding, though some items were a bit pricey for lunch. The $11 however for the bowl of homemade chicken soup was well worth the price - best chicken soup ever, and the bread that came with it was light and airy - perfect for soaking up the soup! Service was perfect and very friendly. Decor was pleasant and upscale, but very comfortable and fit the "diner" name. Will be back!
Excellent breakfast in all regards: food quality and portion, service, prices
Had a great time. Only complaint would be we went for breakfast at 11:30, I know late, but lunch started at 11:30. Didn't realize there wasn't an all day breakfast. However the lunch was delicious. Want to go back for breakfast!
