This is our favorite lunch spot when we are in NYC. We have been there many imes and love the place. My food this time was somewhat disppointing. I ordered the pizza Margherita which has been great in the past. They have ruined ths dish. It had some greay breadcrumbs sprinkled onit and some herbs instead of basil. It even had some fresh dill! Who needs dill on a pizza? It is not the traditional Margherita recipe so they should cll it some other name. It also was not hot enough when it was served. At those prices, they had be... read more
Great for a quick and quality pre-theater dinner.
Large portions are key to Brooklyn Diner. Everything is large so beware. Food was good and not too expensive for Times Square area. It was very busy for lunch with a lot of tourists and some business lunches. Our party was a total of 5 and we had enough space to eat and talk. The hummus platter was really good for an entree. Our entrees were mainly salads and the mac and cheese. Everything was good. I don't remember the service experience so I guess it was decent.
Quantity trumps quality here. Overpriced for what it is. Good for tourists.
This is one of our favorite spots in Times Square. We eat here all the time before or after the theatre. My son favors the foot-long hot dog, but there are healthy salads for the grownups, pizzas and burgers, and comfort food like chicken pot pie. And also some excellent (huge) desserts -- though the last time we were there, the chocolate pudding pie had disappeared from the menu. Too bad!
The best breakfast ever! We made a reservation and it still took a few moments to seat us when no one else was waiting. The wait time was acceptable though. Once seated it was several minutes before anyone greeted us and offered a beverage. I ordered pancakes and extra crispy Bacon when she finally arrived. She was very personable, smily, happy, and just an overall good demenor. When out order arrived my Bacon was not extra crispy and had to be sent back. It was fixed quickly and was perfect upon return. The pancakes were th... read more
A great alternative to the traditional NY deli. Portions are just as big and the quality is better. If you're really hungry, don't miss the 15 bite hit dog. It's amazing! Service was fast and friendly. They knew we needed to get out in time for the theatre and made that happen with time to spare.
We were three adults and 1 child. It was definitely kid friendly, very kind and helpful service. The food was great. We are usually upscale foodies, and this is more comfort food, but it was really tasty. The chicken pot pie was really good and large enough for all of us to try. Large dinner salad and succulent fried calamari (with some fried jalapeno made it extra tasty). Location is amaazing....right in times square and my out of towners were impressed!
Lobster roll was underwhelming , cheesecake over the top. Great pace to go before a matinee, we like the ooriginal place on 57 th better
