It's a good restaurant for Times Square and the prices are not that bad even for New York. I usually like to eat at smaller non tourist restaurants but this one was pretty good. I was a little disappointed when at 530 the chicken pot pie was already sold out but it was a really busy weekend in NYC. I would recommend this restuurant for people who are visiting Times Square and do not want to eat a bad chain restaurant.
Great service. From our arrival to departure the staff was responsive and helpful. Recommend the applewood bacon eggs benedict
Perfect lunch in the theater district!
The food was very good and the service and atmosphere good. Seemed high priced for the quality of food. We had an fabulous Italian dinner nearby with the bill being about the same, but the quality of the other places' food seemed much higher (more expensive ingredients). So value for our dinners? Not as good as expected. But a nice, clean place with everything on the good-very good side. Close to theaters and reservations - the way to go!
Old fashioned down to earth great food. The omelettes were excellent , the French toast was delicious , the service good not have been better. A great place for a bite in the theatre district.
It's a diner. Pure & simple. If you're looking for anything more, this is not the place. However, if you're looking for GOOD diner food from the "good ol' days" of diners, this is the place. The egg creams are what egg creams used to be, back in the 60's when people knew how to make a GOOD egg cream. The burgers & sandwiches are really good. This wasn't our first time here, & they never disappoint
I chose the diner because it is near the theater where Matilda is playing and because one of their featured dished shown on the web site is mac and cheese, my granddaughter's favorite. Their mac and cheese was not to her liking; it was too salty with a layer of inedible crust and tasted as though it was made with Parmesan rather than cheddar. The chicken pot pie was delicious, with a nice crust, well-cooked (not mushy) vegetables and chunks of white meat chicken. But again, too much salt was used. Nice waiter.
Great location in Times Square. Good for pre-show dinner
Good solid reliable comfort food!
