We had a large group and wanted to to experience a great New York Sunday Brunch without having to wait for a table. Brooklyn Diner was the answer and it did not disappoint. They take reservations and their menu had something for everyone. Service was great and the atmosphere was fun. We would definitely go back.
Very expensive. Food portions are large, though. Examples: Mac and Cheese with ham: $20.95. Chicken pot pie $24. Not really kid friendly.
The food was excellent and the service was great. The location is excellent for dinner before or after a show or a walk around Time Square.
A regular stop for us when in the area and the food and service is always consistent and enjoyable.
A perfect place for lunch. Not sure I'd trek here on a weekend, but the food was good. It was more the location I wouldn't go out of my way for.
We were a group of 9 who did a post-matinee lunch. A great time! The food was great, and the waiter was wonderful. The only reason not five stars is that my sister's order got a little confused and the kitchen took a long time to react. But, seriously, minor flaw! You MUST have their black and white milkshake and pigs in blankets appetizer.... So fun! Also, the homemade hummus was over the top! The chicken noodle soup is fresh and flavorful, but easily a meal to itself ! Would ABSOLUTELY go back and would suggest it to anyon... read more
The food and ambiance of the Brooklyn Diner were good, but the service was fair at best. Although our waiter was congenial when he was at our table, it took almost the entire meal to get a water refill and his attention for a forgotten item. We noticed that the people at the next table had gotten the wrong salad. It took the same waiter almost 20 minutes to bring the correct salad. The same missteps were witnessed all around us. The food was well prepared, but not attractively presented. All in all it was a fair dining exper... read more
Very comfortable and good service. We have been to the original restaurant on 57th St. and found this one less hectic and rushed. It was also not too noisy to actually have a conversation. Good for a comfortable dinner pre-theater.
This restaurant is know for its pastrami but it was cut so thick and happened to be very fatty. The rest of our meals were fine--typical diner food which is great for after a show!
