This is the place for large portions of decently prepared food. The menu is large and varied. The cost of the food has risen steadily in a stagnant fiscal climate. Save some room for dessert.
Fun place, food is delicious, a little noisy...
perfect for a quick dinner in the theatre district
the food was great- Chicken pot pie, huge rueben sandwich, corn beef sandwich- but Skip the desert! We had coconut triple layer cake and the lemon merangue pie and was not impressed with either. Maybe their cheese cake is good. as they claim.
No AC in late June in NYC, waiter took 45 minutes to get us the check after we asked. Food was average at best.

Pre theater lunch. Friend enjoyed blood marys & fish & chips. I had pastrami hash - was served a bit cold and English muffins not really toasted.

I have been an avid fan and frequent customer of this establishment for over 20 years. I was so disappointed not only by the incredibly rude and poor service I received when I dined before my matinee this past Wednesday. I was so surprised by the nasty manner our waitress spoke to us, I wanted to request someone else but feared for how our food would be treated. The food I was accustomed to being quite delicious in the past, was very mediocre. None of us ate more than half of our food. What once was a regular stop for me, ha... read more

Would not repeat for breakfast. Potatoes cold and meal lacked taste + pricey for what it was.
