Went with my BFF on a mission. We both needed several items, we were there to buy, not just shop. Lots of employees, not one greeted us when we walked it. She started trying on jeans, needed different sizes in different styles and brands. The jeans were so scattered about, I had to dig through stacks to find brands, others stacks for sizes. Horrible service. Extremely long lines. Stood in line 45 minutes to by my son a belt for Christmas. The tag showed the correct size and manufacturer with a price of $29.50. Multiple belts were priced at this level by this maker so we picked the one we liked best and got in the very long and slow line. When we get to the cashier they tell us that's the wrong price and the belt cost more than double that price. Manager was called and refused to even come speak to us. Nice customer service. Sold me boots online that they could not fulfill. Told me one day they were shipping and the next day they could not fulfill my order. Poor customer service.
The store is great. The girl that work the front counter made it an extremely unpleasant experience. Scott was very helpful with finding our boots. He pointed out a flaw on the pair of boots I wanted and made sure to discount it for us. When we went to the register I had the displeasure of being helped by a young lady (Kenzie, according to our receipt) who treated us like we had killed her favorite pet. Walked in around 8:30 just to check this place out for the first time (i'm in need of a new pair of boots) and of the 3 young ladies standing at the front counter not one of them even acknowledged us. My family and I browsed around for a good 15 minutes and two other staff members passed us by without acknowledgement . . . We leave and as we again pass the huge front counter now with 5 young ladies chatting one another up we are ignored again, no "Thanks for coming in" " have a nice evening" or " come back and see us" . . . ... read more
I purchased a children's cowboy hat online....ordered a small for a 4 yr old....it didn't fit; had to return it AT MY EXPENSE. Reordered, the next size still didn't fit. Out an extra $22 and still no hat. Their sizing is way off!!!! Also ordered a 12-14 shirt for a 7 yr old - it barely fit!!! Wow - their sizes are not even close. Returning everything at your expense is not fun. I found a different merchant and am very happy with them. No more Cavender's.
