Two years ago I came to Austin to visit my step daughter. I used to work the oil patch back in the 80's and wanted to return to an area where I am fond of and had many pleasant memories, and I wanted a pair of boots for me, and a pair for her. I bought a pair at Allen's and love them and their service. While at Boot City - looking for her boots, the rather large western looking guy (clerk) in a big cowboy hat asked me where we were from, I told him West Virginia and Virginia. Cavender's service is terrible. I stood in line while 2 other clerks put product on shelves not 10 feet from a line of customers on Friday night at 7:00 pm the week before christmas. Their priority is not customer service. This lost sale cost them $275.00 and it wil cost them a lot more in the future. There store isn't so special that I can't live without it and you can't either. These people suck.
If the option existed to check "negative stars," that's what I would have done, pardner. I won't go into the ugly details but the service is laughable. They lost my special order and no one could figure out what to do about or where to look. Here's an example: "What time does your manager get here?" *shrug* "I dunno." After I told them to stuff my special order in a very special special order bin, they had the gall to say, "We'll see you next time." And they will be wearing jackets in hell.
