I think i will always and forever have their "boot city" jingle stuck in my head when I think about this place. A friend at work was talking about how she wanted to go get a pair of boots, so I went with! I love shopping even if it's for cowboy boots! So, when we first entered the store, it looked like just about all of the salespeople were busy either working the register or with other customers so we made ourselves at home trying on all the cute boots we could find. About the time we started having questions, a super cut... read more

What I got: A Wide and long foot with cankles from hell and a high instep that would make foot fetishists swoon (High Instep). As you can imagine, it is not so easy to find a boot to fit my foot. Most boots I can only get my flanges into (that's toes for you laymen). Other boots that fit my foot don't fit my huge cankles (Calf/ankles for you laymen). I can try on thirty boots and only one in those thirty will come close to fitting. By "close to fitting" I mean that with the help of those metal hook thingies and some elbow ... read more

It's pretty much what I expected: a large, western wear and boot store with about as much personality as a Cabela's. They did, however, have a decent selection of Justin brand boots, and that was my main purpose for going there. One of my perks at work (although I work in an office and not on a ranch) was a free pair of Justin boots. I found the perfect pair at Cavender's, and I've worn the hell out of them. Also, I bought a tank top with lace across the front, and a crocheted bolero sweater - both on sale for $15 each... read more

The associates here are very unprofessional. I witnessed the staff profile a POC by whispering to each other that she wasn't going to buy the merchandise in hand, and if it a certain $ limit was shoplifted, the whole floor was getting written up. How awful to hear as a POC myself. I definitely don't want to do business with them. They come off like you're just a dollar to them. And if you need to make a return, you get judged. All returns funnel through to a rude manager, which means get ready to stand in line and plea for... read more

I'm deeply disappointed with their extremely short 30-day warranty policy on boots. If you didn't know this now you do. A good pair of boots is supposed to last for years with proper care, yet after only two years of occasional use, the soles on my boots wore out and now require resoling. For the price and reputation of Cavender's products, I expected far better durability for what has been essentially used as a dress boot. What's even more frustrating is that Cavender's doesn't stand by their boots beyond a mere 30 days--... read more

Unknowledgable staff, limited selection! Staff weren't much help, didn't show much interest, in bein' of help... ...and, appeared to know little to nothing, about their own store's boot polish (wax tins), which is ironic, given it's a leather shop, primarily for boots. Also, their in-house brand of wax, "Scout Boot Care", while it does achieve and hold a decent shine, pills much worse, at room temperature, than Kiwi, upon application (using a horse hair application brush). That said, a bit of time, with low heat (5 min @... read more

Three employees at cash register area. One standing around, one folding clothes, and one person checking out a family buying 3 pairs of boots, a blazer, and two pairs of jeans. Line has me + 3 other customers. Been standing in line for 10 mins and nobody at the store can run a 2nd register. Madness.

Went to see if my straw hat could be reshaped. I kindly asked the guy at the counter if I could, no kind of helpful information he could've enlightened me with instead he just said " yeah that's not happening. " zero hospitality, do not recommend them for your hat needs.

Was looking for a hat. A couple people were helping me. Then they just disappeared. Thanks a lot for the help. Went somewhere else.
