My husband was at this store a few days ago and purchased a pair of boots for our 3 year old daughter. He got back to our home in SC and discovered the boots are 2 different sizes. I'm still here in Austin so I went to the store where he purchased the boots and showed the manager Jason photos of the 2 different size boots. He was able to pull up receipt and verify the purchase. Written by my boyfriend. 2 stars for your staff in total. Replace your staff they are not helpful at all. Hindering your sales!!! Excluding Miguel! I was in dire needs of jeans for this weekends trip. When your jeans have holes it's time to replace them. I've always gone in and looked here never bought always got the best help and warm western greetings. I went to Cavenders on Lamar this morning knowing I'd walk in get help and back on the road. I was I need of a pair of boots when I came here a man recommmended snake skin little to my knowledge were they meant for spurs. No one informed me of this or the return policy where they cannot be worn. During which they let me wear them out of the store. After a day I realized what they were so i attempted to return them and was turned away having worn them out. Terrible store with staff that are not informative and rude.

If I could give a zero I would this location is absolutely terrible I went in there to find a pair pants and a belt. I found a nice belt and a nice pair of wrangler jeans on sale when I went to go check out i approached the register area and I wasn't greeted to a register so I just went up to one and then the girls I had ringing me up completely ignored me. went to exchange my dads lucchese boots we bought him for christmas because he already had that color the sales woman seemed mad when I asked for the catalog she just shoved it towards us decided to just get the refund and take our business to another place

They have a large selection at prices that beat some of the other famous bookstores but the customer service here is nonexistent. At least the last couple times that I've come here. Lines of customers waiting for the registers streaming across the store with little interest in the cashiers to direct traffic or expedite checkout. And the cashier wasn't familiar with the discounts and sales. When checking out, I was told there was no discount on kids boots when it was clearly advertised throughout the section. Stopped by here looking for a specific hat I found online. Salesperson in the back (blonde woman) was not the friendliest and could not find anyone else to help. Not the warmest atmosphere like other reviewers have noted. I will just shop elsewhere or online. Also not one employee masked.

Went with daughter to buy her a pair of boots. Worst experience, would not size or help her. Went to Boot barn and they were amazing. So helpful.

Customer service is more of employee huddle and conversation as they watch shoppers and stare at you shop- this went on 30 min while I shopped all around them close and not one asked if I needed assistance- 26 yrs of loyalty gone in 30 min. This was my 2nd visit in 2 months - not much change. Goodbye Cavender's.
