Our sales person/helper wasn't too friendly. But bet your @ss he appeared at the check out when we were leaving to make sure I put his name on record for helping us! Wanted my boots stretched, he took my deets and said they'd call when it was ready, a few days. I'd expected them to be done faster, so I just decided to buy new boots (I needed them that day). If you like being harassed by salesmen, then this place is for you. They're like vultures. Some people might enjoy someone helping them shop. We don't, and that should be respected instead of being followed by a shadow. Not to mention when we found what we needed we were followed to the register so he could write a ticket for a sale even though we had asked to be left alone. So maybe it's just me, but listening to teenagers discuss their drama while I'm looking for boots isn't exactly how I want to spend my time at a store. The customer service at this place is dearly lacking, save but for a few (very few as in 1 or 2) employees who are actually knowledgeable of their products. It is also disconcerting that when I actually need help, all the "sales associates" are busy gabbing about who did what with who and where they are meeting up that night. I'll not shop here again: - The staff is very unhelpful...that is unless you are dressed up in your Cowboy costume...otherwise, they treat you with disdain. I wish I could "qualify" that statement, but for years it has been the same reception by the staff...who are obviously trained by management. Had a horrible experience today at Cavenders on I10, I went in for an even exchange on a pair of boots that did not fit right and a mean old witch (probably because of her over weight) was very rude and pushed the new pair of boots at me turned around and left. I don't understand what her problem was, I had the receipt and still she looked pissed for me making the exchange. The store is great but the employees lack respect for customers. I won't go to that location anymore.

My family went to the store on 2/22/13. I went to get clothes and western wear for the rodeo and school events. The associate"Dennis" swooped on us while we were first entered the store and said," Let me know if you need anything" .We didn't see Dennis again until right before we checked out. I did ask him one question about a shirt discount before we bought it. I specifically asked him about a "Larry Mahan" shirt that was advertised as "1/2 off when you buy two". Dennis said "Yes". If you want to be ignored this is the place to go. Seems like they are unhappy or ungrateful to have customers. Or just the fact that I didn't look like a "country person". The little short girl that checked my purchase never smiled, just plain unhappy towards a paying customer. My third time here and a nice Latin associate helped me my first time. I will be visiting a different western store who will have much better customer service than this location.
