I was so beyond excited to FINALLY go cowboy boot shopping in San Antonio. On my last trip here, there just wasn't time, so for this much longer adventure, I knew I wanted to get boots for my Cowboy two-stepping adventures! Cavender's was a GODSEND! They have a HUGE selection of western regalia. Boots, clothes, jewelry...apparently there is a bigger one, but I'm almost glad we didn't go there, because between myself and the other girl in my party shopping, we tried on at least 50 pairs of boots and took about 2 hours. Visiting from San Diego and wanted a pair of Lucchese boots. This Cavenders was close by so we went. Left with two pair of boots, two belts and two shirts for me and two pair of boots for my girlfriend. Super friendly and helpful staff, very attentive and made sure we had good fit. Shout out to Mary and Brett, the manager, for outstanding service. I would even consider a special trip to shop here again.
This Cavender's is a bit cramped for space and seems to have more sale items. It seems to see less volume. That's good news to me! That means I don't have to battle the crowds to pickup the items I am looking for. The staff at this location is friendly and helpful as always in a Cavender's.
Would give a 0 star if possible. Came to return items with tags and receipt less than 2 weeks from purchase and manager Meagan still gave us a hard time. After explaining situation with payment she showed no empathy or customer service what so ever and instead continue to tell me she wouldn't be able to help me. Not once did she try to think of options for me but was constantly denying a return. Her only answer was store credit for over $300 of merchandise. We came from Colorado and needed 2 hats cleaned. They told us the person who cleans them was out and he would be back in 30 mins. We waited an hour and no one helped us. We waited for a total of an hour an half with 4 kids with no help. This is really unacceptable!
The boot selection is great, the prices are also great. So one star for each, but the customer service is the worst. Upon walking in i had already selected some styles that i found on line, i asked the girl at the counter if she knew where i could find them (first time here) and she snarled her nose and pointed at a man walking up and said "he'll show you." Guys, I CANNOT RN! All I can say right now is that imma need this place to TUNE IT UP. I' m giving this a 1 out of 5. I'm being generous. I usually don't like drama - so I think it's best to confront this once and for all. It breaks my heart to call someone out in these but Alex needs to help a customer out. Alex literally did not even do the bare minimum customer service - maybe a greeting but thats it. No one offered to help with finding sizes or looking for certain clothing items.
This place has HORRIBLE customer service! I went to exchange a pair of jeans and the girl who helped me did not like that the jeans didn't have tags. I understand that but you can still exchange or return them. Well the girl then says oh they were worn and they weren't then goes on to say I'll exchange them but next time if they are smelling like smoke you can't do it. Went inside wanting to buy a pair of boots, no one asked me if I needed help or anything. Then finally asked someone for help, and she said "I see you, Well get with you" waited for 20mins still nothing. While a group of guys were just chit chatting. Went to boot barn and I was helped immediately.
