Was looking for custom boots because I have wide feet.Called all over Texas ,But everyone wanted BIG$$$ .Found out I could get them here,Called and asked for MIKE ,outstanding salesperson.He took the time to measure me,I chose Kangaroo and Goat.Went over stitching,heal,bottoms initials-also put on boot.Mike gave me the attention and his knowledge of boots.I will buy again but will ask for MIKE. Greeted us and very welcoming. Very nice staff. Walked out because size was not available. A staff member noticed I was leaving and he asked if there was anything he could do. I explained that they did not have the size I needed. He offered to call and check another location. That was very generous. There superior customer service was duly noted.
Well I visited the store right before Christmas and it was busy so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I have never bought boots before and I walked back and forth trying to figure out what boot to even look at. The entire time I made eye contact with several employees and nobody assisted me, Not a hi or hello. I was so beyond excited to FINALLY go cowboy boot shopping in San Antonio. On my last trip here, there just wasn't time, so for this much longer adventure, I knew I wanted to get boots for my Cowboy two-stepping adventures! Cavender's was a GODSEND! They have a HUGE selection of western regalia. Boots, clothes, jewelry...apparently there is a bigger one, but I'm almost glad we didn't go there, because between myself and the other girl in my party shopping, we tried on at least 50 pairs of boots and took about 2 hours. Visiting from San Diego and wanted a pair of Lucchese boots. This Cavenders was close by so we went. Left with two pair of boots, two belts and two shirts for me and two pair of boots for my girlfriend. Super friendly and helpful staff, very attentive and made sure we had good fit. Shout out to Mary and Brett, the manager, for outstanding service. I would even consider a special trip to shop here again.
This Cavender's is a bit cramped for space and seems to have more sale items. It seems to see less volume. That's good news to me! That means I don't have to battle the crowds to pickup the items I am looking for. The staff at this location is friendly and helpful as always in a Cavender's.
Would give a 0 star if possible. Came to return items with tags and receipt less than 2 weeks from purchase and manager Meagan still gave us a hard time. After explaining situation with payment she showed no empathy or customer service what so ever and instead continue to tell me she wouldn't be able to help me. Not once did she try to think of options for me but was constantly denying a return. Her only answer was store credit for over $300 of merchandise. We came from Colorado and needed 2 hats cleaned. They told us the person who cleans them was out and he would be back in 30 mins. We waited an hour and no one helped us. We waited for a total of an hour an half with 4 kids with no help. This is really unacceptable!
