I was here around 2022 for three months along with a short acute stay the same year. I witnessed one staff (Ms. Rae) on the acute unit purposefully misgendered and hit a patient, the patient got upset, and they punished the patient for getting upset. I brought it up to staff multiple times and they told me to "quit talking about it". In my residential stay I witnessed two male staff members get in a physical altercation with each other. The care was terrible, it was so hard to see a medical doctor if needed as well.

My daughter was admitted to Cedar Crest following a mental health crisis, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the environment felt more like a detention facility than a place designed to help adolescents in crisis. They have my family member at Cedar-Crest Hospital. My family member was there for 48 hour whole by the court to see what their mental state was, but that facility there does not have the expertise in specialism to help my family member and I'm telling this facility please do not over medicate and make my family member worse than what they are. My son was admitted on Thursday. It is now Monday evening and I just got to speak with him for the first time. I have been calling several times a day and the phone just goes to voicemail. Called over 20 times before I was able to speak to anyone just to be told they couldn't give me any information. He called me tonight distraught. They still have not given him any of his clothing or even the most basic hygiene items. For 4 days he has not brushed his teeth and had to borrow soap from his roommate. I started therapy in February 2025. I met the therapist. and I was blown away that she had such knowledge and was awesome guiding us through our life with depression, anxiety, even though there were others there with other issues. I have observed her since February 2025 she helped me in many many ways however she could not change my family so in May 2025 I got to a breaking point and checked myself into the hospital. Staff here treat patients horribly. When I was in there was a girl going through horrible withdrawals. She was having seizures and the staff wouldn't take her to the emergency room because they thought she was faking it.

I went here when I was 17 and let's just start if off wih PLEASE PARENTS find a different place to send your kids. We were cussed out by staff,staff would scream at us when we would even barley get out of line going to lunch. In the dining room they had forks available and didn't make it clear to us new people we weren't allowed to use them and we had to use the spoons, so why were the forks in our reach. This place is hell. Downright shitty. Horrible doctor and staff. They were going to keep me 5-6 months but I broke my leg. I was sent here to punish me bc I lied about being suicidal. I live in Austin not Belton.

I went there a few years ago and I was treated horribly. I was a leader to it all girls unit and there was a fight all the time in control and I got a severe anxiety. I got more disorders going there. I develop social anxiety and I didn't have that before going in there.
