Staff here treat patients horribly. When I was in there was a girl going through horrible withdrawals. She was having seizures and the staff wouldn't take her to the emergency room because they thought she was faking it.

I went here when I was 17 and let's just start if off wih PLEASE PARENTS find a different place to send your kids. We were cussed out by staff,staff would scream at us when we would even barley get out of line going to lunch. In the dining room they had forks available and didn't make it clear to us new people we weren't allowed to use them and we had to use the spoons, so why were the forks in our reach. This place is hell. Downright shitty. Horrible doctor and staff. They were going to keep me 5-6 months but I broke my leg. I was sent here to punish me bc I lied about being suicidal. I live in Austin not Belton.

I went there a few years ago and I was treated horribly. I was a leader to it all girls unit and there was a fight all the time in control and I got a severe anxiety. I got more disorders going there. I develop social anxiety and I didn't have that before going in there.

I was here once as a patient. I may have been young but it was such a bad experience that I remember it all. the staff there did not care about us at all, when I was there they had a guy that worked there and he was like 300 pounds and if I didn't take my medicine because I was young and didn't know how to take it they would literally tell him to sit on me and then they shoved the pills down my throat. when I called my mom and told her about it it was so bad that she thought I was lying and just trying to get her to take me ... read more

i got chocked by a homicidal manic demon and nobody cared. i never revived help when i was suicidal. the nurse needs to be fired because she called me and my friends names when we were crying because someone was calling us faggots and bullying us for no reason. if you don't workout there, you have to stay there longer for "not doing what they told you to do". it's ridiculous. i was there for support, not to be chocked, have a huge panic attack, bullied, and have ADULTS tell me i was "overreacting" when i had the worst panic ... read more

My 16 year old son was sent to this facility, and it wasn't great or even good. He told me the place was filthy, always short staffed, and that the staff was rude to some of the kids. I personally thought it was awful because of the lack of care. They shoved a pill down his throat and didn't bother teaching him adequate coping skills. The therapist who called me wasn't even his therapist. Kudos to Dr Peirson, wendy, Carolyn and a few others I don't know the names of on staff. But the housekeeping was really bad really bad. I was there recently the last week of September 22 also there were no schedules posted for patients as to phone times meal times meeting times or anything. And if you ask you probably got yelled at by the BHA. Please don't go here. As a former patient it was awful. There is no counseling, and they don't give you basic rights to call your parents or anyone. Within my first 2 hours of being at Cedar Crest there was a fight and one of the workers shoved me trying to get through to the fight and never apologized. Workers curse at you if you are out of line once and they told me multiple times I was crazy and there was something wrong with me.
